yan naman yung recommended viscosity talaga. pero now that 20w50 nakalagay it might be more prone to leaks if you switch to the thinner viscosity.
mas tipid ka sa gas and better power though with the 5w30.

sir speedyfix,,
sir yun bang shell helix na blue container,, ok din ba un sa kotse ko sentra b14?? with viscocity 10w-40..semi syn daw un.. now kasi castrol gtx 20w-50 gamit ko.. kpag gumamit kya ako nung shell na to posible na magkaleak? and kapag ginamit ko kya to titipid pa sa gas ang oto ko? tnx...
guys IMO i got a semi horrible FC when i use d 5w-40 shell helix ultra and shell atf sa 1zzfe altis.. bat kaya? and i noticed golden brown parin yung color? does this mean na the oil isnt doing well? 10k km na pala tinakbo ..

yup, i'm using bosch oil and fuel filter sa crosswind. mas mababa sila compared to vic - provided may authorized dealer na malapit sa yo. gaya ko sa warren pa ko dumadayo for bosch filters.... sabi nga ni mang rufo ng warren, "vic kasi kalaban nila kaya medyo mas mababa sila konti"
have you tried the oil flushing additive from shell? yung nilalagay muna hinahalo sa lumang oil bago mo i flush para ma clear out yung mga oil smudge. effective ba yun mga guys?
Ingat kayo sa mga 'engine flush', hardened engine deposits could be a part already in maintaining good clearances between engine parts that's why many suddenly experience engine trouble after they use these products.have you tried the oil flushing additive from shell? yung nilalagay muna hinahalo sa lumang oil bago mo i flush para ma clear out yung mga oil smudge. effective ba yun mga guys?
Personally, I use diesel motor oil every other oil change to keep my petrol engine clean.
No special procedures involved, para ka lang nag oil change. Sa akin I use the diesel motor oil up to my next oil change schedule, yung sa iba up to 500 to 1000 miles lang.
Okey naman, malinis ang engine at smooth ang takbo. I have been doing it for about three years now. Yung iba nga have shifted to diesel motor oil totally to lube their petrol engines.
Havoline (dati havoline energy ngayon formula na lang) and Delo Gold ang gamit ko. No appreciated performance difference sa dalawa.
Yung ibang gumamit ng engine flush biglang nagkakaroon ng leaks sa mga engine seals.
Naku, Never Flush Fluids Dudes..
I only use OEM Honda Engine Oil with the Help of my Friend..
(Certified True Honda Mechanic)
Libre na installation..
Mas Maganda parin kasi Original..
May Peace of Mind.. No complications sa huli..
For My Honda Tsikoteers friends.. i could help..
P.M. me if you need OEM Honda Fluids..
Oo nga, dapat the diesel motor oil meets your engine's API specification or at least its 'S' ( C is for diesel) rating is one step higher.Ingat sa diesel engine oil. Not all can be used with petrol engines. You are ok with Delo Gold bec its a fleet oil. Its ok to use with both gas and diesel. But its better for diesels.
use the correct viscosity. if 5w30 is recommended then use that. they say ok yung iba just because they don't have the correct viscosity for your engine.
so engine flushing is a no no for cars whose engines are well maintained? kasi sa casa bawat change oil ng fd at jazz namin parating may flushing. pero iyong ek ko hindi ko naman ginagamitan nunNaku, Never Flush Fluids Dudes..
btw, ok na ba sa ek iyong 10w-40 bro?
guys,
ask ko lang, is it ok to use 10W-40 fully syn oil to my isuzu hilander? kasi typically, 15W-40 gamit ko multigrade and want to try fully syn oil can't find 15W-40 syn oil on the market.
OK dw yun royal purple, san ba makakabili sa laguna or alabang area? sa laguna kasi ako.
on new cars sayang to flush. tell your SA not to use it. on the ek tama lang 10w40.
RP has disel rated oil in 10w40 and 15w40 viscosity. baka wala lang in your area though.
yun gumagamit ng semi-synthetic na oil, IMO sayang lang pera..for me dagdag ka na lang and go for the fully-syn oil or kung kulang budget then mineral oil na lang
you don't need to do it. it should state that additives etc are not advised sa ilalim ng hood mo. di ko alam bakit nila ginagawa yun.
mejo naguluhan lang ako what oil to use, meron mga nagsusuggest ng RP, Motul, etc.
I'm not a racer naman or anything, I just use my car for work and some gimiks but madalang naman yung mahabang byahe, usually, work-home lang everyday. Are shell/petron oils ok or better ba if mga RP ang gamitin? I mean, if RP ba ang gamitin, mas tatagal pa than 5000kms ang next change oil?
Kung RP/Motul ang sagot nyo (which I bet is more expensive than gas station oils) isa pang question, what if gamitan ko ng kalahating RP/Motul tapos kalahating gas station oil para mas mura...ok ba yon???
