    Huh?!

Black oil means the oil is doing its job suspending the dirt in your engine. I'd be very worried if you drove 10000 km on oil that still looked fresh.

Just follow the recommended change interval...if anything they're actually a little too short. Even your ordinary mineral oil will have no problems unchanged after 10,000 km, such is the high quality of motor oil nowadays over 20 years ago.

ford explorer sportrac... one of my dream cars. haay sarap mangarap, hehe. how's the FC on that thing dude? magkano na kya used value ng mga yan?

on a car like that, you can use 20w-50 or HDEOs and the engine will just keep on running. tibay, those amercan V6s. any grade except those 0w-40s (racing oil too thin) will do just fine and won't impact your FC very much.

you should only the the 5w30 oil. if it is available naman then follow the recommended viscosity index given by the manufacturer. you will feel the sluggishness of the engine if you use a 40 weight oil plus lalakas ka sa gas.

the 5w30 oil will be able to take any kind of driving you throw at it. we've seen RP's 5w30 used on supercharged bmw's without any problems so it can take anything you throw at it.

assuming an oil can last 15,000 kms before changing, does the oil filter need to be changed in between or it can also do the job in 15,000 kms without replacement?

i wouldn't push an oil to 15000 kms here in the philippines. the dirt and conditions here are way different than abroad. 10k kms should be about the max even for a good full syn oil.
