June 2nd, 2009 11:48 AM #1Guys, what are the brands of oil filters and type, brand of oil would you recommend for a 2001 2.0L REVO GSX? use for normal driving, and budget conscious.

best is to follow the recommended oil viscosity based on the manual. then you can choose to DIY or bring it to any gas stations.
for filter replacement, Vic or Bosch is commonly used though i prefer Bosch

Royal Purple would be nice, (1 year na sa altis ko)
filters? OEM would be the best. just buy it outside the casa.

. .ako i do it every 5,000 km or 5 mos; whichever comes first
always been a combination of castrol and vic for me

bosch oil filters can be bought in any servitek shops. dyan ako bumibili eh.
for oils, any recommended mineral oil with the same recommended viscosity for your vehicle would be ok. just have it regularly changed every 5k kms. it will be cheaper than having to fill up with fully synthetic oil tapos once a year mo papalitan, and you can be assured that you always have fresh oil inside your vehicle.
for oil filters, VIC is also good.
well, i have never met a victim admitting they maltreated their trans box...
