October 2nd, 2019 11:33 AM #1I bought a second hand car and planning to change the engine oil. According to the manual and last PMS in the case, the oil used is 10W-30. This morning, we went to two Shell gas stations to inquire. They said Shell does not have a 10W-30 sa Pinas. Ang meron lang is 5W-40. I do not know if I should continue my search or try na yan. Let me know your thoughts. Salamat.

Should be fine with 5w-40.
As long as nasa range of accepted oil sya based sa manual for the engine.

either viscosity will work. the 10w30 is better in terms of fuel consumption. with rising fuel cost and idling so much coz of traffic, iwould recommend the 10w30.

October 4th, 2019 09:19 PM #9If you are particular on using 10w-30, try lazada. they have quite some choices in that viscosity range. hth
