January 22nd, 2016 12:51 PM #11battery terminals do not magically loosen.
either the terminal was not tightened properly, or battery acid ate up some of the metal...
and no, AT and battery terminal are not related.

the battery needs a little attention too. at least everytime you have the bonnet open, check the battery connections for tightness and cleanliness. both the terminals and the battery top needs to be free of dirt and liquids. if you have a voltmeter, check the voltage drop between the battery post and the battery clamp on the same pole by placing a considerable load, e.g. the starter motor. while an assistant cranks the engine, measure the voltage drop across the connections both on the positive and the negative side of the battery. the voltage drop should be no more than 0.5VDC.
if the battery has vent caps and is designed to be topped off with battery distilled water, check for the electrolyte specific gravity. the S.G. of a fully charged battery should be between 1.260 up to 1.265 at our ambient temperaturesLast edited by jick.cejoco; April 5th, 2016 at 11:53 AM.
Be careful with channels like "China Observer" on YouTube. There is a clear bias in their posts and...
