Interesting responses looks like 3 years ang average lifespan ng batteries. How about the diesel owners, ganoon rin ba sa inyo? I know diesel batteries should last longer but that's just what I've heard. Totoo nga ba?

I forgot to mention mine is a Sears International DieHard battery. Costs a whopping $130 (PhP6000-PhP7000) and has a 3 year warranty! Obviously my battery is well past it. Iniisip ko when it dies I'll get an original MB which also costs the same.

Lahat ng Honda namin NLT 3-4 years yung battery. Nung may diesel ako, mas maiksi life ng battery -- 1 year lang -- but those were when diesels still had heaters. hahaha.

The original battery of my EG hatch lasted for four years... outlast yung brand. Been using outlast ever since in my other cars. Pero none have matched the performance of this.

My diesel (1KZ-TE)'s stock battery from the casa lasted over 3 years. For some reason, the plates nearest the positive terminal was defective and could not store enough power for over 3 days, while the other plates were still good. Sayang. Hirap lang magbakasakali sa automatic na diesel. Most of the probable jumpstart donors might not have enough power to start a dead 2SMF diesel battery. hehe.

I replaced it with a Motolite Gold 2SMF battery. Sana tumagal din ng 3 years or more. Hehehe!

Back to your question, should the diesel batteries last longer because they're inherently more powerful than gas batteries?
