Then on the second attempt, mag start naman xa agad?
Nag try din po ako na patayin then wait for 2-3 hours then start, okay naman na.. All lights are good, stereo, aircon are also working.
Kahapon lang po nag start na 1 click sa first attempt then starts sa second, tapos ngayon na ulit nanaman kanina..

Ano po kaya problem and need paayos or palitan? Thanks in advance po as always..

if its clicking then the ignition assembly is fine

it could just be the aging battery? how old is it?

How old is the battery? You might just need a new one.

Hello po sir Stock, Thanks as always.. 2 years na po, motolite gold. And i forgot to mention na may naiwan akong isang ilaw sa loob na nakaopen for about 2 days, because of the typhoon di ko man lang nacheck yung car... and kahapon pag open ko ng first attempt nag one click lang xa, and then at the second attempt, nag start ng maayos and naka-open pala yung ilaw.. Is it 100% battery na po ba talaga?

A/T right? Mysterious intermittent starts? Have the brake switch checked.

It got discharged lng pala. Some shops perform battery tests naman. You can do that or keep motolites or amarons number handy. They do deliver and change batteries on-site.

Hmm 2yr old Motolite Gold...That's about the end if you weren't conditioning it on a trickle charger. I can't recall a dead battery giving me intermittent starts, tho. It usually shows signs like weak cranking to just clicking. Never dead now, alive on 2nd try. Have batt, its terminals, ground connections & the brake switch checked. Eliminate the suspects before you go replacing stuff.

Motolite Gold only has 21-month warranty and Motolite batteries typically conk out after its warranty expires. Just replace it.

    "battery."
    also, tighten the battery terminals.

some battery stores have a battery checker service for free.
    have it checked.
if the reading suggests replacement, have it replaced already.
nothing can be more panick-y than a dead battery in an otomatic car, kung kelan ka pa nagmamadali.

    good luck.

a dead battery will not usually cause the car to stall while driving.
but it will probably not start anymore, once the engine is turned off.

    i have a colleague.
she replaces her battery every two years, regardless.

    good luck.

    btw,
when i replace my original battery, i opt for the next smaller size.
i did not notice shortness of battery life.
car is stock. no aftermarket electrical toys.

Nangyari ito sa 17 year old car dati.

i re-read your post again, and...
    yikes!
    i mis-understood!

    re-reading it again...
i think that's your starter solenoid, po.
have someone see it. if i am correct, it will only get worse.
one day, you won't be able to start your car anymore. ... not even if you replaced your battery.

it's sometimes difficult to diagnose starter solenoid problem, because they are initially intermittent...

+1 dito. Sabay linis na din battery terminals. Check din wires at grounding papuntang starter.

Get a voltmeter that can be attached to the cigarette lighter socket

    A car battery contain 6 cells..each cell carry 2.1volts for a total of 12.6volts

A dead cell will reduce that to 10.5volts and so on and so forth

When the engine is running the voltage reading of the voltmeter should be => 13.5volts. Otherwise, the alternator is not functioning properly

If the voltmeter reading is in proper order, then it's not the battery nor the alternator

Get that tool and it will save you a lot of money and trouble

this is very similar to what the battery shops do. only, their gadget (a handheld voltmeter from Ace or CDR king, or a big, heavy thing on wheels) is clamped to the battery beside the engine, and not to the cigarette lighter.

    order one now!
    before stocks run out...
    heh heh.

    seriously,
i'd chance on a surplus first, or have mine overhauled.
palitan ang electronics kung kailangan... the rest of the starter is near-bulletproof.
