Hard Starting After Use

Hi Bros,

Patulong naman, yung auto is 2005 vios 1.5 G matic.

Lately, na-experience ko na after gamitin yung auto it takes 2 tries before sya mag start. Example halimbawa nag-mall kami ng family ko, pagbalik namin sa parking after 3-4 hours di na sya 1-click pag start. It never happened before naman and bago lang ang battery.

Pero pag first use mo naman like sa morning 1-click lang. Ano kaya ang possible problem?

^^^fuel filter. Or pwede mo unahin cleaning ng throttle body, servo or iacv ang tawag dun. Visit vios thread and may step by step dun nanpwedeng I-diy

yep, tama.... unahin mo muna ipalinis yung throttle body and related sensors, tapos try to replace your fuel filter.
if it still fails, try to have your coolant temperature sensor checked or replaced.

Thanks bros. Hindi ako sanay mag-DIY eh. Do you have any ideas how much the service will cost sa Servitek? I already have fuel filter which I bought last year pero di ko pa napalagay.

Sor imho, sensitive fuel filter ng vios at mukhang yun nga problema mo king hindi mo pa napapalitan. Unahin mo na iyun at pede dalhin sa suking servitek. May natatandaan din ako na minsan sablay ang replacement kaya better go with oem.

Kung walang redondo ay pa general cleaning mo na yun commutator ng alternator. Baka pudpod na rin carbon brush niya. Gastos kja lang ng P350 sa labor niyan sa auto electrical.

Pero unahin mo muna yun pinaka simple. Check kung maluwag yun bolt sa mga malaking gauge wire sa battery terminals.

Had the same problem with my 2002 Nissan Exalta. Hard starting after use. Problem was the starter solenoid. Replaced it and the problem disappeared. You might also want to check that out.

Follow up question lang po sana rito sa thread. I'm experiencing the same problem with my 1998 Honda City. Madaling mag-start sa umaga then after going to church or mall 2-4 clicks bago mag-start ulit. Nagcra-crank lang pero di tumutuloy sa pag-start until the 3rd or 4th try. Ang catch lang pag nag-start na, hindi siya agad maka-rebolusyon. Kahit tapakan yung gas pedal, di nagrerebolusyon yung engine. Yung tunog nung engine parang mag-o-off siya hanggang sa eventually mag-off nga siya. Susubukan ko ulit i-start tapos ganun ulit tunog nung engine hanggang eventually kakatapak ko ng gas pedal e magrerebolusyon na rin siya.

Kakapalit ko lang ng battery nung Feb tapos as of Feb this year ok pa naman daw ang alternator. Ano po kaya ang pwedeng sira at magkano kaya aabutin ang pagpapaayos?

Pgm-EFI po ba model nung sa inyo?
Kapag Pgm-EFI po ang model, auto choke yan sa first start po.

Base po sa nasabi nyo problema, marami po pwede paghanapan kung saan at ano ang nagdudulot ng problema.
Na-checked nyo na po ba ang fuel filter nyo? Kung hindi pa ito napalitan after a year or two have it replace. Check nyo rin po ang air filter nyo, kapag marumi, have it cleaned by air compressor in any service station.

similar tayo sa problem, ang ginawa ko either shell racing or blaze muna ang ginamit ko, nag improve hanga nawala ung problem ko, nung nagstable na ako sa starting bumalik na ako sa fuel save.

observe mo din kung saan ka nag papagas, as much as posible stick to one gas station para maalagaan ang fuel na pumapasok sa car mo.

I don't how a normal and a not normal crank sound. Basta it cranks but does not start.

At first try, it won't start. But at the 3rd or 4th try it cranks then starts pero parang pumupugak-pugak yung sound ng engine and hindi siya nagre-rev kahit tapakan ko gas pedal and then eventually mamamatay yung engine on its own.

Yes, after mga 4-5 times of trying, eventually, magrerev din yung engine.

Check your fuel for contamination. Check your spark intensity. The spark plugs will tell you a story. If you are unable to read the plugs, mark the position which cylinder they came from and take pictures for posting
