    Hello,

I would like to ask what should I do if my battery has been drained? My current battery is a low maintenance, Electron (i think it's N40 series). It just happened that I forgot to switch-off my park light when I arrived in the office around 7am. Then, when I leave the office around 11pm, I am not able to start the engine and realize that the battery was drained because the park light is not turn off. I call taxi for help and we try to do series charging but no luck. We also tried to make it "tulak" but still unable to start the engine. The last thing we did, is that we swap the battery from taxi to my honda city exi MT and the engine finally start.

I was able to bring my car today but I am worried that my battery will drain later again? What can you advise guys, is it possible to recharge my battery? Do I need to refill the battery with distilled water?

    TIA, Larry

add distilled water to the battery and recharge it accordingly to the specified voltage.

Just refill the water as a precaution.

The battery will recharged by the car's alternator to "normal" level if you use the car long enough. The battery will not discharge (again) as long as you don't forget to turn-off your lights.

Mga Sir, I was so wrong, d pala na drain ung tubig ng baterya. Nung i-check ko parang nasa low level pa. Do I still need to add distilled water kahit 1 liter lang? Thanks

Just add enough water to make it to the "normal" level if you have some distilled water. This would prevent the battery dying due to low battery water. If not, just have it topped up later.

Perhaps, the age of the battery needs consideration.

The most common bateries used now ar the start up batteries. These batteries have very tiny threads of lead and copper that if the batteries are discharged, the thread break and the battery life is drastically shortened since the threads cannot reform again.

This is unlike the deep cell batteries that have plates like the old old batteries when the charging mechanismwas stil the dynamo and not an alternator. The plates can still gather the lead of copper in solution to be part of the plate. This is very much unlike thee threads with our present starter batteries that are cut and can not reform.

Not sure now if Culmat still has the monopoly on the selling of battery "plates". Quote unquote kasi the "plates' are really a mesh of thread and copper threads. Not sure also if Culmat still sell two kinds of "plates". One if memory serves me right was called gauge 95 and the other some other gauge. One is thicker and has a guaranteed life of 2 years while the thinner gauge has a guarantee of only 6 months and if properly cared for a maximum guarantee of a year. The thicker gauged plates has a maximum guarantee of two years but according to my battery specialist can actually last to five years given the proper maintenance.

If the batteries that was drained does not function well either have th plates changed if possibl or if not, anew battery is a must for dependability.

i was about to say that. these lead acid batteries don't like to be fully drained. since this is the first time it happened, baka you can still salvage it pa... but maybe not for long especially kung old na yung battery. get a new one na lang kahit na yung mga mababang model ng known brands. i had mine drained twice or thrice na yata, though not fully drained naman. just not enough to crank the engine para mag-start. it still reverts to that condition pag di ko nagamit ang kotse ng mga 3-4 days. otherwise kahit mga 2 days walang gamit, quick starting pa rin naman.

syempre we have that mindset na pigain ang battery hanggang it's really dead already, but what if nasa alanganing lugar o oras nangyari ito? aside from the security and safety reasons, baka mapamahal ka lalo kasi emergency na. so mangyayari kakagatin mo na what's being offered, unlike if you've shopped around early. makapili ka pa ng swak sa bulsa at preference mo. anyway, knowing the kind of battery you have and how long it's been in service already... then you can determine if replacing it is viable at this time.

    Hello,

I was able to used the battery for 1 week. Kanina when I tried to start the engine, ayaw na naman. Good thing is nasa bahay palang yung kotse at may malalapit na bilihan ng battery. Follow-up question lang, what battery series should I buy? When I checked motolite website, it says NS40. Pero last week nung dapat magpapa deliver ako, sabi nung SA eh dapat daw Motolite Enduro N40. What's the difference between the two? I know N40 is physically bigger than NS40 but when it comes to performance, same lang ba or may pagkakaiba? Kotse ko po Honda City EXI 1997

    Thanks, Larry

Hi guys please help me about my car battery problem. my car is honda city 2010

2 weeks ago nagloko ung car ko, ayaw mag start nag crank lang siya. kaya ang ginawa ko tumawag ako sa motolite, then ni recharge nila ung battery ko. kinabukasan binalik nila battery ko. so ayun nag start na. then ginamit ko ung car, kinabukasan nag discharge nanaman siya. so recharge ulit si motolite by this time they gave me used battery so that I can use my car. then kinabukasan discharge ulet, motolite advice me to bring it to casa. kaya ang ginawa ko dinala ko sa casa and they test it, walang nakitang problem sa wiring ung casa sa car ko. kaya ang ginawa ni motolite pinalitan nila ung battery ko since nasa warranty pa, 4 months palang kasi ung battery. after noon wala ng discharge problem.

but after 2 weeks nag out of town ako, then kinabukasan na discharge ung car ko. I always double check if my naka ON na ilaw ung car ko bago ko iwanan para sure na walang problem. ang masama pa non nasa province ako walang motolite express delivery! kaya hussle nag hanap ako ng mag siries ng battery but walang gustong pumayag tapos may nakita akong motolite battery seller. they test my battery super drain as in zero charge. ayaw nilang isiries. kaya no choice ako bumile ako ng battery sakanila. tinaga pa ako sa price. after they change my battery they test the alternator etc. ok daw lahat. but nag worry ako baka pag iniwan ko nanaman car ko ma discharge nanaman. kaya pag kauwi ko ngayong gabi, tinangal ko ung wire sa battery ko to make it sure tomorrow mag start ung car.

ano suggest nyo guys sa problem ng car ko? alternator ok daw, wiring sabi ng casa ok din daw. 100% sure na walang naiwan na ilaw pag iniwan ko ung car. pero nag discharge battery ko

please help me po. I am planning to recharge my 2 weeks old battery tomorrow para incase mag loko ung new battery ko may pang palit agad ako. bago ko dalhin ulet sa casa. mejo malaki narin nagastos ko but still nandun parin ung sira. guys suggest naman po.

sorry if may mali or text type words.
