try this number 09209543251. got it from another forum. nagbebenta siya ng DIY voltstab similar to the one made by dexter above (baka nga siya si dexter). btw, nasa loob yan ng black plastic box with a switch and an led. got one from him, so far so good naman.

tama si sir meledson. i took a few units of electronics and we use capacitors with the electronic device not with the battery to smooth out spikes. pero if you look at it in the big picture, parang naka-parallel din naman silang 3: power source, capacitor, load. pero i believe na dapat nga mas malapit siya sa load kesa sa source.

1k ata. may 2 wires coming out of the plastic box. yung isang wire, kabit mo sa (+) ng battery, the other sa (-) ng battery. kahit saan mo ilagay yung box. ginawa ko sa akin, idinikit ko ng double sided tape sa tapat ng airfilter, yung sa lalagyan ng strutbar.

    post ako pix later

naging stable ba ang kuryente mo? may partner ba yung sayo na grounding kit?

i got the grounding kits first bago yung voltage stabilizer kaya i did not feel any major change nung ikinabit ko yung voltstab.

I see. Grounding Kit nalang muna siguro.

the diy voltstab is the black plastic box in the middle. there is a switch that turns on a blue led. but this is just to test if the circuit is still working (you can have the switch turned off and the voltstab still works).

alam ko may post ka rin regarding diy grounding kit. yung circular thing sa tabi ng battery with the blue wires yung nabili ko na grounding kit. costs 1k kasama kabit. pero parang kulang so nag-diy na lang ako and installed additional grounding wires (red). mas makakamura ka pag diy sa grounding kit. malamang less than P500 lang abutin mo.

wala kasi akong soldering kit e. kung meron lang mas maganda sana DIY nalang yung grouding kit.

OT: ano gauge ng grounding wire mo?

a voltage stabilizer is simply a set of parallel capacitors connected in parallel with the battery. the higher the capacitance the better.

in a nutshell, the total capacitance of a parallel capacitor network is the summation of its values (e.g. 1000 uF in parallel with 200 uF and 100 uF will result to a total capacitance of 1300 uF).

another consideration is that you should never choose a voltage rating below 12V. Capacitors rated at 25V and above is safe enough for this purpose.

in terms of purpose, nakakatulong sya in a sense na pag nangailangan ng sudden burst of electricity ang kotse, kaya sya ibigay ng capacitor. the capacitor acts as a temporary storage of voltage that when the "load" (electornics of the car) suddenly needs more power, the extra power may be delivered by the capacitor.

you can compute for this with, but it would be rather irrelevant, unless you know the loading of your car.

if you are an avid audio fan, you may notice that there are suppliers that sell super capacitors that can carry at least 1F of capacitance (Farad) in contrast to the uF (microFarad) sold in electronic shops. those capacitors are really expensive and big.

A Farad is such a huge unit for capacitance. With the advances in technology, I cannot imagine how they are going to increase the plate areas to compensate for the permittivity of the dielectric material which is into the 10^-12.... (Advances in the material?,- maybe!)

Capacitors acting like big batteries have always been used before in high-powered communication equipments using transistor tubes before the advent of solid state transistors....

    Whew!

take a look at the capacitors at mickeys http://www.mickeysautosound.com/capacitor.html

honestly, the only hindrance for me to be able to create a customized vs is a waterproof/weatherproof casing. there are lots of casings out there in the market, but all of them are made up of brittle plastic, which i think won't last long inside an engine compartment.

if you can find one, let me know where.

The battery of your car gives out pure DC unlike AC-DC converter which, IMO has some AC component in its output. If you want more voltage stability get a bigger battery.
