Did the shop remove the vent plugs upon installation of your motolite? If it was left on, then the gas could accumulate til it cracked the case or burst.
Try AC Delco batteries, 2yr replacement warranty.

My motolite maintenance free tropicalized exploded too, yung color white. 2 months old lang, ayaw na magstart, tinatanggal ng mechanic yung battery terminals para icharge yung batt, tapos sumabot sa muka niya. Returned the batt to the dealer pero ayaw palitan kasalanan ko daw, lahat nalang ng items sa warranty card na nakakavoid ng warranty ginawa ko daw

how so? how did you void ALL of the reminders sa warranty card nila? grabe naman yun...palusot lang siguro yun..

In some models of vehicles (esp. those that place the battery behind the engine), heat can cause the casing to warp, weaken, or melt which could lead to premature battery failure.

una naground daw sa body kaya sumabog, but looking at the car wala naman possible na metal na didikit sa battery, so sabi niya sira daw alternator and naovercharge but nicheck naman and ok naman, tapos meron pang ibang dahilan na di ko matandaan. Pinalitan ko lang ng outlast and 1 year na walang problems. Nakakainis lang sa dealer di naman sha magwawarranty eh, motolite naman ang papalit eh ewan ko bkt ang kulit niya, dinala ko yung sira sirang batt sa kanya ayaw niya tingnan, impossible daw mangyari yun kung wala akong ginawang mali.

Here is my update, I posted what happened this morning sa motolite website and they will be going to my place to see what caused the explosion....will update you all....

nakakatakot yan ah....motolite maintenance free din gamit ko...sakin naman na drain yung lumang motolite maintenance free battery ko for no reason at all...nung dinala ko sa casa sabi nung service engr nila 1 year lang daw ang lifespan nun...no choice napabili ako ng bago...malas...

Time to find another dealer. When my battery exploded, pinalitan naman ng dealer.

Pero since then, yung mga batteries na for commercial and heavy duty use na ginagamit ko.

Hey there ,
They were able to go to my place to replace the batt..it seems daw na one of the clamps is not loose that is why the batt might have exploded also, they checked rin and sabi nila.....14 volts ang normal voltage ng car...but sometimes it reaches at 16 volts kaya overcharging....Also napansin nila na may ground yung distributor ko and
can hear some static..

I do not know what might be the problem pero sabi nila baka sira na yung alternator...do you have any recommendations sa electrical shop na magaling..na pwede pa gawa....sa may commonwealth area....i live there kasi eh...

My car's battery para may kauting lumolobo na..Pansin ko bandang ibaba ng walls. More than 2 years na itong battery ko pero 1 click pa rin. Time to change na ba?

Im thinking kung Outlast or Motolite?

Hi Everyone,

I am back, I have finally fixed my car, changed the alternator to be sure rather than rewinding the coils...tapos checked the chargin system....hindi na pumapalo to 60 amps only 30 amps....na lang....safe na daw yon.....thanks....sa help niyo....
