    Tanong lang mga boss,

yung vios kasi namin 4 years old na, pero hindi pa napapalitan yung battery.

4 years is quite good already. malapit na nga yan. Better have the express delivery number of Motolite just in case.

You can check the voltage of the batter using a voltmeter. If nasa 12V and below na, malapit na yan

Minsan sir bigla na lang bumibigay. Like in my last battery replacement, nung umaga ok pa tapos nung paalis na ako ng gabi ayaw na magstart. After fully charging it, di na talaga siya naghohold ng charge. Like what sir Jesto said, keep motolite's express hatid number handy, plus the cash. NS60 motolite gold was around 4k when I got one a couple of weeks ago.

Regular check-up can extend battery life kasi. Using heat wrap can also help.

number one killer nang battery is heat...
heat acts as a catalyst sa pag kasira ng battery...

there are two ways heat will decrease battery life.
    1. it speeds up the corrosion of the positive grid of the battery (growth-creep)

    2. it increases the sulfide plating on the negative side of the battery (corrosion-creep)

local brands who use recycled lead (Pb), have trouble separating Silver from the lead. most recently manufactured batteries use silver on the grid and post.
50 PPM... even after recycling and re-processing silver impurities will still be present and will result to uneven quality of lead plates.

the latest innovation in conventional lead-acid battery is the use of a special alloy (C-21), with addition of Ba ( BARIUM )... this combination slows the 2 processes mentioned above, increasing battery life dramatically....

ang nakaimbento at gumagawa nyan ay Furukawa battery of japan, which made a joint venture sa number 1 competitor ng amaron sa india, which is EXIDE batteries of U.S.

the incorporation of the technology of furukawa japan battery to the EXIDE line of batteries resulted into a product that is superior in every aspect,

just out of curiosity i bought one yesterday para masubok...

India's no 1 products under the EXIDE, SF, SONIC and Standard Furukawa Brands.

    SF SONIC batteries

para meh options kayo when choosing batteries, apart from amaron which is also good to begin with.

mas mabigat Exide Sf sonic compared sa amaron pro.. probably by around 1-2kgs more...

nagka interest ako beside the fact na EXIDE gumagawa, eh dahil doon sa "new alloy post grid material" which is sa research ko eh C21 alloy with Barium...
eh furukawa japan batteries pala nag develop noon... so nasa fore front ng battery development ika nga.. ahahahaha...

Yung mga Suzuki Ertiga coming from India are fitted with this kind...

ok naman medyo matagal ko na din gamit. ito pinalit ko when my amaron started to fail..

as per spec, its similar sa amaron. dalawa lang naman naglalabanan sa batteries eh, johnston controls at exide batteries.

its more cheaper also comapred to amaron.

the battery market is already competitive compared to what it was before na motolite lang meron dati.

ngayon you can choose amaron/sf sonic/korean(enercell) / thailand na panasonic at hitachi batteries etc...

Even the best quality battery will not reach full life expectancy if:
There is no hold down or the battery is subjected to impact,

The temperature of the location is always hot,

The charging system is either overcharging or undercharging,

There are too many or too much current draw of additional electrical load other than the factory power loads. Too much borloloy strains the charging system,

    And many short stop/start cycles

current lead acid auto batteries deteriorate fastest, when they remain "discharged for long periods of time". nabasa ko (understood it, is different) that the sulphides that form during discharge, flake off and cause diminished ability to hold electrical charge.
the suggestion was, keep the battery fully charged at all times, especially when the vehicle will not be used for long periods of time.

Push starting a computer controlled engine car will give you a diagnostic trouble code "no STA" signal detected. This is the same circuit as the 50 of the starter

    but is this standard?
because i never had such code seen!
maybe my car isn't "intelligent enough"?

Or you were using a code reader. A bi-directional scan tool is different
