Lithium-ion is where you want to avoid charging to 100% unless you really need it.
back in the day,
we would charge our lead-acid batteries to 100%.
but we would periodically look at the fluid levels.
charging them often, can lead to "increased evaporation", kasi. overcharging via over-eager alternator/generator, also causes premature drying.
but i do not recall if frequent charging did lead to longer battery life.
