No to AC DELCO!!!

mga sir..., my 2011 cruze po ako, ang battery po nya ac delco, ngayon po dead na, ang tanong ko po kung pede ko po palitan ng motolite or other brand na naka usli ung terminal? kc ung ac delco ko na na dead na ay lubog ung terminal. natatakot kc akong palitan ng nka usli ung terminal kc may cover ung positive terminal tapos my nakakabit pang mga transistors or anuman untawag dun.. pede po ba patingin nmn ng ginwa nyo sa cruze na pinalitan ng motolite or other brand..

i don't have a cruze, so i can not imagine what the problem is.
but if you bring the car to the battery store (AC Delco store or otherwise), they might have something for you.
another possibility is to go to the casa (where they'll sell you the "right" battery at thrice the non-casa price. heh heh).

sometimes, there is no real problem because the "standard" garden variety battery will fit nicely and still have big overhead space as not to short out the overhead metal. but only a trial fitting can show this to be true or not.

Just last night our Chevrolet Cruze wouldn't start, as mentioned on the symptoms to this thread, I think the battery's dead. The Cruze was bought last year around June and barely reached the 10k service.

Weak horn and low illumination were originally what I noticed when I tried to start it. I was trying to jump start it but didn't bother since it was dark in our office parking lot. Called up the casa and good thing they are sending a technician over to check it.

Will stick to motolite since our Altis has a 3 year old battery but hasn't shown signs of being drained.

Gud pm mga sir.ganyan din nangyari sakin nung 2010 bagong bago cruze ko tapos dead agad battery after 11 months, ayun ang pinalit ko po ay motolite din 55.yan po yung parehas ng polarity nya at same din ng taas, kaso mahal nga lang po mga sir pero yan yung design na swak para sa cruze.

update as per Chevrolet Commonwealth...it's the battery, barely on it's 9 months and its already dead.

Nakikita ba sa battery niyo kung kelan manufactured? seems odd na ganon kabilis nasisira... ok naman ba water levels? Knock on wood, but I have never experienced a brand new car that had a battery that died in less than a couple of years.

Sa s&r yung ac delco 2 yrs warranty. Mas ok nga ba ang Motolite vs ac delco? Yung oem battery ko 70Ah varta, ok ba ang Motolite din66? Compare sa ac delco?

ikaw ba distributor ng ac delco dito sa pinas? nagregister ka lang para ipagtanggol yung brand mo? ikaw din siguro may ari ng rapide ano? gagawin mo pang sinungaling mga taong may complain sa ac delco mo!

Ano ang symptoms nyo before your ac delco died? One year na kasi sa min and almost 10km.

Ako, long time user na ako ng AC Delco batteries. Symptoms nya na napansin ko kapag malapit na magloko eh kapag ini-i-start mo yung engine, mahina na yung "cranking" power nya. Kapag nagloko na, wala na talaga,pero, gagana yung mga ilaw mo at sound system.

I am also a long time user of AC Delco batteries on my Chevrolet APV (Minivan) in Saudi. It normally lasted for 2-3 years driving about 50km a day to/from work.

Apparently, local horror stories of AC Delco (in PH) seem enough to surmise that the batch sold and supplied in casas are of pit bottom quality.
and in the same way that AC Delco batches in the Middle East seem to be of better quality...

In 3 years of ownership, I'm on my 3rd. 1st failed under warranty, Delco replacement failed again a year or so later. Had it w/ that brand. Haven't had great luck w/ Motolite lately either. A few of mine failed prematurely. The last was pretty traumatic. Of all places, it got me stuck parked at the exit of a ferry. Only silver lining: the warranty almost always got em replaced. GS was decent when they were still around. My 3rd is a Panasonic on the Sonic....We'll see.
