2010 Chevrolet Cruze!

I've been following up this thread for so long now...and finally finished reading all the posts..
My company will be replacing my beloved Vios 1.3E soon...as in bank loan is already approved..And my boss is already pestering me to make my decision already.

Choices:
1) Cruze L - L because I still love manually shifting, more fuel efficient, and the quick response pag apak sa gas. Does the L variant HU also has the USB input?? What advantage does LS has aside from matic, 6-speakers, sensors and fog lamps?
2) Elantra - Though, baka di na ito cause mahaba yata pila and very common na sa places na nadadaanan ko. And my son doesn't want this! Looks like an alien daw.
3) Lancer EX GLX MT - Bent on Cruze na ako til this came along.. 1.6L lang sya but loaded in features, i.e. touchscreen monitor, Brake Assist (pls enlighten me on this) etc..

I posted my query here coz I am biased on getting the Cruze...hahaha..

Also, the Cruze right now in the market is still the original Cruze? Not yet facelifted?

no need to ask. cruze na kunin mo for sure. haha. kahit pa mas maganda o sulit ang ibang sasakyan, kung eto talaga gusto mo, talo pa rin. isipin mo palagi pag sasakay ka, (sana cruze na lang pinili ko)

May facelift release ba sa 2013? My wife really likes this for her car, will replace her ride start of 2013, there are new cars to choose but if there is a facelift or added features like in the compa video above, mukhang ok... We are thinkin of Cruze or the new Ford Focus...

My choice and my strong recommendation? Get the LS/MT instead of L, syempre Cruze ako.

Another question, what are the other difference of LS MT to LS AT besides the transmission and GPS? Ano ba included sa LS MT, any picture of the cockpit of the LS MT? Thanks! Parang oks sana ung difference onti lang ng LS AT, kaya lang totoo ba na may acceleration issue ung AT? May changes na ba dito?

mga bros.. went to Citimotors (Alabang) kanina to check on the Lancer EX.. have to convince myself kasi na mas OK talaga ang Cruze hehe.. ang available lang is yung pang-test drive nilang GLS 2.0 variant (previous release ito coz 2.0 GTA na yata ang newest).. same lang sila ng body nung EX variants..

i was not "disappointed", very bare talaga ang dating ng interior, di sya "cockpit" like the Cruze.. BUT the HU centerpiece ang nagdala..ayos na din.. At this point kanina, Cruze na talaga

then... we sat down and gave me the offer (bank P.O.)..
EX MT: 825k - 47k = 778K!!!
EX AT: 855k - 27k = 828K!!!
std freebies plus LTO

DAMN! Nagulo na naman ako..Chevy only gave 10k disct lang plus std freebies LTO & 1-yr TPL

I know it is apple to orange (1.6 to 1.8)... pero OK na sa akin ang 1.6L what with the 100kph max speed * SLEX/NLEX/Star Toll

Any other points to consider that I am missing out mga sir?? i.e. hatak ng engine pag uphill (hirap kasi yung 1.3 vios ko dito)?

Im planning to buy a bank repo 2010 Cruze LS M/T. Can you guys give some tips on what to check on the unit to know that its not 'laspag' or still in pristine condition? TIA again!

hi to all, newbie ako sa thread na to, got my chevy cruze last march, and so far, 100% satisfied ako. Im working here sa UAE and i can say that the cruze performance here is very very great. My location here is 320km from dubai and every thursday i have to go to dubai para makasama naman si misis. For fuel consumption, very efficient, usually nacoconsume ko lang is in between the 3/4 and the 1/2 ng gas tank. For the performance, i can say may kaunting kabagalan nga siya sa sa acceleration but i did not mind that kasi it depends na lang on how you drive the car. My colleagues nga, mapa kababayan or foreigners din e gustong gusto ung overall looks ng cruze inside and out. Yung kasamahan kong arabic engineer dito naisakay ko sa cruze and sabi niya agad sa kin na mas spacious daw ung cruze kesa sa toyota corolla niya and mas comfortable sa seating. Can i ask kung pwede din ba ako sumali sa group niyo ng cruze owners kahit nandito ako sa abroad?

I'm getting a Cruze probably next week. (Gift from my parents) I'm still in college and I'm sure head turner tong Cruze pagpapasok ako. :D Super excited.

Pero dudes, okay na ba talaga A/T neto? I'm driving a Galant ngayon and manual sya tapos sobrang nakakapagod lalo na with the traffic volume in Taft kaya naisipan ko magautomatic na. Pa answer na lang. Thanks! :D

The automatic is okay though a little sluggish to respond, according to reviewers. This conversely affects acceleration performance compared to its competition.

Btw: Since you mentioned that you want a head turner - not looking at the Lancer or the new Focus?
