Then get a retrofit if ever you're going to have your HIDs done.
Normal HIDs installed improperly on a reflector halogen housing will be just about as bright in illuminating the road (minsan, mas bulok pa), because reflector halogens are focused on the ground; whereas sabog ang buga ng HID.
Kapag naka projectors/retrofit ka na, ibang usapan yan. Super liwanag na, hindi pa nakakasilaw.
Just be prepared to spend ~20k for it though.
hehe.. naka adjust na level ng lights ko as not to bother anyone.. hopefully...
i have no problems naman when it comes to seeing at night or illuminating the road with the stock fit light housing but cguro it'll even be better if you get it retrofitted like mda suggests just that you'll have to cough up more money.. if you have pabaon why not diba hehehe
talo HID's ko when there's yellow street lights but when the road is dark or not well lit up yun super bright sha.
plus i like the way it looks hehe
A longer warranty isn't necessarily good. Remember, having a reputable mechanic is also better off in the long run for your wallets.
Besides, Chevy would like your car to be serviced in their CASA for a longer timebayad bayad!
And for people who use HIDs, kindly recalibrate your aim at the very LEAST to avoid blinding incoming motorists. If not, I'll chuck a Mcdo sundae at you while driving.. lol! For those who want to retain their stock halogen housings but want more light output, check out Philips XP and the Osram NBs.

I've heard that one downfall of projectors is that you get moisture in the headlamps.
I might look into getting upgraded bulbs instead.
I dropped by Chevy Westgate today, and yes they're going to increase the price of the Cruze by 30k starting April 1, which is the same time when they will include the extended 5yr warranty, 100,000 km warranty.
I'll look into those bulbs. thanks.
As for the extended warranty, I think that yes it's cheaper to have your car serviced outside. But of course you want that guarantee that if something happens mechanically/electrically to your car..your CASA will cover it for you. At least for the next 5yrs you'll be sure that your car is in tip top condition and that your car will be cared for with hands that have more experience w/ the Cruze than a mechanic that has never worked on a cruze.
But yeah..when your warranty ends..the best part is putting a lot of add-ons that weren't allowed under warranty![]()
I almost experienced a MULTIPLE COLISSION last year along Daang Hari, thanks to that car who blinded us with his glaring and sabog-sabog na HID.
It is not a matter of just putting it there and drive right away but it those HIDs MUST be placed "responsively" by professionals who knows how to install it properly.
I have nothing against using HIDs, I wanted it myself but please please please, have it installed by professionals and demand from them that it should serve its purpose rather than cause accidents.
Yellow lights? hindi ba pang extreme weather conditions lang ito?
Thank you.
It's probably an inherent risk associated with opening up the stock headlight housing.
What you can do is to buy surplus stock headlamps and have those retrofitted instead, para maibalik mo yung stock HL mo kapag nagsawa ka or something.
Pero kapag magaling yung nag retrofit and the HL were properly sealed back, then that should minimize the risk of getting moisture in the HL.
Lalo yung mga fortuner na glare monster. Hayop mga yan haha.
Yeah, yellow lights (~3000k) are more for extreme weather conditions. Makes it easier to see in the rain. Yung mga ~6000k/8000k kasi na ilaw nawawala yung buga sa ulan.
