You need millions of pesos to buy a hybrid car.

What we have is the ECOTEC engine which is 1.8L. The ECO version is the 1.4L turbo charged engine with special aerodynamics and weight reduction.

Bro Hanz, i have a pm for you.

As for the HIDs..i talked with Westgate Alabang and they gave me a quote of around 8k, not sure if labor is included or not. I say not too bad for a CASA price..since aftermarket HIDs usually range around 4-6k nowadays.
traffic that time po tapos asa likod ko kau,, yes sir wala papo plate. kasi i know may taga cavite na naka black,, nice too see you yesterday, hehe, thanks po sa advice, i will call westgate para dun,,

based on the tachometer, it's 6.5k. why are your concerned about this?

Yep, the states has the 1.4 turbo engine. I guess to compensate not having the turbo they made the ones here in this part of the world 1.8L engines to get a better power/weight ratio.

Not too sure of the brand bro. If I find out i'll post it here.
I was thinking of getting HIDs too just in case the illumination at night wasn't that great. With the fogs on along with the headlights.. I'm able to see perfectly

Guys.btw, What does the "Menu" button do on the left hand turn signal do? I've been pushing it and nothing happens.

    Hi Guys!

I'm getting a chevy cruze this week. I've been following this thread for two weeks now and I guess over excitement got to me, so here I am finally speaking up!

    hello chevy cruzers!!! lol

Need your advise on the ff:

I'm contemplating whether the LT's premium price is worth every penny vs the LS A/T. What do you think?

Also, which is the better color? Super Red or Moroccan Blue?

I personally like the super red, but thing is I wouldnt wanna be driving a car that has the same color of every cruze owner around...

Moroccan blue is nice, but i think super red just pops out on the road effortlessly - Plus, its a little too manly for me? (I'm gay. lol)

I saw the velvet red, they have one in chevy makati but i cant choose it as its the same color of our current FD.

I test drove the cruze last week, from Buendia all the way to MOA Grounds, and much to my surprise, all the negative feedback i've been reading was not really that much evident in real life.

for one, i tested it at around 230pm, the aircon was working well. not mainit.

two, it does have this fume coming in from the outside, but it was negligible.

three, ive been reading how much it lacks power vs its heavy weight. i say it just takes a little while to get used to how the cruze is program to work, steadfast gas pedal to get the most acceleration result.

fourth, the handling is very nice. its similar to my ford focus 2.0 sport.

Anyway.. i'm dealing with Chevy Makati. heres their rates:

    LS A/T P908,000.00
Discount P50,000.00 (we bought an aveo this year too, so our agent said it was a very special price for a loyal customer as the usual discount is P30k)

    LS A/T Total PHP 858,000

I'm trying to look for other LT owners who had great deals with their casa.

CHEVY makati's LT is priced at P 1,048,000. They said LT have limited supplies thats why they cannot afford to give me the same Php 50k discount of the LS AT. They said the best discount they can offer is Php 30k.. Is this for real?

Can i get a better deal from another casa?

Your replies will be deeply appreciated.

HI Kriss yeah there are several Black cruze around here at Cavite nowadays , and i think it became a favorite of the southern buyers .. hehehhe

*charriolKid congrats on your new selected car.. regarding LT and LS :
LT variant has Traction control system, auto climate control, vehicle stability enhancement system, rain sensor, 17" magwheels, automatic folding side mirrors, chrome door handle
then all the other safety features comes along with interiors and exteriors goes with the LS variants ..

regarding the pricing and the discounts you might wanna check every dealers showroom in order to bargain your interest .. especially it`s december time you might get a Good deal after all ^_^

    Personally, i like the white.

=) This color decision will definitely go down to the wire. My wife will arrive earlier than me and hopefully able to get our Cruze by this week. I can't wait to go back to Manila this Christmas to see it. White or Pewter or maybe Red...???? I have to go back to the dealership and look again.

Anyway, I test driven the eco engine here in US and it is really better than the 1.8. Power, acceleration and fuel cost. Kainis bakit wala sa Pinas. =(

As for the trims, the LS version in Phil is better than here. They use hubcaps instead of mags. (Yes, chromed hubcaps!). Fake.
At ang nakakapagtaka, dito walang nakainstal na fog lights ang LS, pero sa Pinas meron. =) Baligtad na ba ang weather?

But the LT version is exactly as in Phil...except the 1.4 turbo charge eco engine. Haaaaayyyy...=(

Got another question. Where to get the best chrome trims for Cruze locally? Meron na ba? Sa casa ba magpainstall o bili na lang ebay at DIY?

    Thank you!

I will soon be a Cruze owner and reading this positive story makes me want the car more. To all, if you have any positive experience with after sales service of your Cruze, please share with us. Thanks! =)

*:charriolkid: Congrats on choosing the Cruze! You're absolutely right, the car speaks for itself during the test drive. As for the LT vs the LS, the LT has features that I could live without. I could turn on my wipers on my own once i sense rain There's also side airbags I believe when it comes to the LT, so that could be an advantage if you're a huge safety guy. The 17 inch rims do look better too. But as for performance, size, it's all the same. Even if I had the money for the LT, I would probably still stick with the LS and just buy add ons instead.

Choosing the color is so hard, because ALL the colors of the Cruze look good!
