wondering what QE is all about?
here's an example:

Fed buying treasuries tonight
it's called Permanent Open Market Operations
the Fed is buying bonds dated 2014-2016 from its Primary Dealers

Euro is also up, Japanese Yen stable, Swiss Franc down (eto weird normally tandem sila ng Euro pero opposite movement sila today, may balita ba?)
ever since yen intervention naging weird ang mga correlations
i'll be back
Hahaha looks like you are also very confused like me...
Kasi talaga dtai maganda correlation ng Euro and Swissy... Not perfect but at least same direction... Baka may news about the Swiss economy or something the SNB said...
euro up due to unexpected eurozone trade surplus
CHF down coz SNB keeps rates unchanged
CHF down coz SNB cut inflation forecast

Yeah that's why the stock market quickly reversed after a gap up start...
And as usual when risk is off, CHF is gaining strength once again... JPY naman under normal circumstances would also strengthen but since the intervention risk is on the shadows of the JPY stable muna sya...

People playing Aussie should start thinking of selling their longs or possibly go short... Malapit na tayo umabot sa 0.96... Di ako bilib na mabubutas yan...
Fed meeting pala mamaya? Pero mukang walang mangyayari... I don't think QEII is on the cards YET...
yep everybody's waiting for the FOMC statement (2:15)
this is the key statement from last month:
http://www.federalreserve.gov/newsev.../20100810a.htm
^^ that's QE liteTo help support the economic recovery in a context of price stability, the Committee will keep constant the Federal Reserve's holdings of securities at their current level by reinvesting principal payments from agency debt and agency mortgage-backed securities in longer-term Treasury securities. The Committee will continue to roll over the Federal Reserve's holdings of Treasury securities as they mature.
will there be change in the statement?
will there be QE2? (not likely yet)
we'll find out later
