If I buy item from shopee i will choose at least 3 or 4 suppliers and most probably 1 of them have free sf for a minimum spend of 99....others requires you to spend more for you to get free sf.

Bought an item from Lazada recently. However, the seller took so long to ship it out (more than 2 weeks) that I made a request for Lazada to cancel the order. Seller here was totally unresponsive to the chat queries.

Buti naman at na cancel ng Lazada.

I then went to Shopee and saw exactly the same item and it was also Php10 cheaper (including shipping cost na ito). Item is already ready to ship from the seller as of today.

Hopefully, the Shopee seller here is not the same Lazada seller in a different guise.

I don't understand the logic behind Shopee forcing users to use their mobile app. Is this a metric they're measured on?

For me at least, it is infinitely more pleasant to navigate Shopee using a web browser on a PC. And until recently, I did it this way for more than 90% of the stuff I bought.

Same experience. Browsing and looking at item descriptions are a lot better on a bigger screen. Also easier to research the product and other sellers or alternatives on the browser.

Maybe it has to do with easier buyer behavior tracking on the app.

    That's a distinct possibility.

So right now, I still do my shopping on a PC up until the moment of checking them out... then I switch to mobile. That's the only way you can claim vouchers.

shopee is probably molding, baiting, enhancing, and ultimately exploiting the impulse buying aspect of the typical consumer. after all, w/ mobile phones, their client base can make a transaction w/ their portal anytime and anywhere.

very much unlike a cumbersome pc w/c one doesn't bring along 24/7. after all, a smartphone is literally and figuratively stuck to one's hip all the time.
