November 16th, 2020 11:29 PM #163I remember you regret not buying in Woodridge a few posts back, swerte di ka nakakuha! Saw in the news, the one where Jericho and Kim Jones was spotted helping with their surf boards, grabe lubog na lubog. Water was right in front of the LGV gate and beyond that towards Woodridge was lubog na talaga. I reckon it reached atleast 3 meters inside Woodridge?

Was considering Woodridge for our next property. Uls served as a good reminder to check flood levels in an area first prior to purchase.
Vista Real was another option, nalubog din. My friend who lives there had to evacuate.
I recall there was a site before that compiled areas that were flooded during Ondoy. I wonder if the site still exists and if it would be updated to include data from Ulysses.

November 17th, 2020 01:19 AM #165Try looking at Don Antonio Royale just before Vista Real. Higher elevation and more upscale. Or cross to the opposite side of commonwealth and you have Ferndale (Alveo property) or BFQC (old village but well maintained. Average cut 400sqm). Personally, Im looking inside Valley Golf. 30-40minutes on a good day to and from the office. Either via ortigas extension or marcos hiway. Flexitime naman ako so I can avoid rush hours.
For geohazard maps, I use this:

More and more I'm considering to just stay within my current area now with a bigger condo (~120 sqm and up, 3BR + maids qtr, 2 car garage). Less space than a house but big time savings, no flood concerns, still liveable for a family of 4.
Although no rush naman since no kids yet so current condo is fine for now. Don't wanna get too far ahead of myself.
Nice site by the way - correctly identified flood-prone areas. Also correctly identified that practically the entire metro manila is susceptible to Intensity VII ground shaking in the event of an earthquake.

November 17th, 2020 07:59 AM #167I took these shots of Woodridge from the LGV Tumana gate. LGv was fine except for the street (monaco) right beside the river.
I have 2 friends who are building in woodridge . Both their properties were flooded waist high (and both had elevated first floors already in anticipation for any such event).
The neighbor of one of my friends there was a young guy...maybe 28 yrs old. He parks all his inventory of buy and sell cars infront of his house in woodridge. The next day when my friends looked at their properties...they saw him with his hands on his head, sitting in the muck, barefooted...surrounded by 15 or 16 of his flooded buy and sell cars. Kawawa.
