This question applies to 20/30-somethings as well, if there are any in this forum.
Since single pa rin ako.. Pero I'm keeping a list of my plans or pangarap sa bahay.. Hehehe
Btw, I imagine my kids to do overnights sa house and even mga projects and dance practice nila sa bahay din nila gagawin..
Sharing some of my pangarap... [emoji16]

I noticed in your checklist that location isn't a major factor for you, which means you'll be able to achieve your dream house at a much cheaper price as long as you buy land in an affordable location. A quick check shows many houses in the Taytay area (where you're from, right?) at less than 10M.

I just like to keep it atleast I know I have a direction where to go..

A few years later pinatayuan namin ng bahay, enough for 5 (though hindi pa fully tapos marami pang improvement). The fact that it's in Taytay is not an issue, yun nga ang gusto ko yung probinsiya feels, simple at tahimik.

But at this point I would say sobrang importante sakin ng neighborhood. Hindi ko alam kung ako yung nagbago or yung lugar, naging maarte lang ba ako over the years?

I'd really rather live in a studio condo basta peaceful. But I have a friend who has a condo in Eastwood, meron naman siyang neighbor na nagpapaputok ng baril pagtrip niya. Nasa tao din talaga.

Wala perfect neighborhood even sa exclusive subdivision pakisamahan talaga.

I have lived in various neighborhoods across different socio economic strata. Generally, the more posh the neighborhood, the quieter and more peaceful.

So I agree it's worth putting a premium on neighborhood - yes there are bad apples across the board, but the average is always better in a more premium location.

Taytay pala kayo pareho ni misseksaherada. Pwede na mag-EB diyan. May isa pang matipunong Tsikoteer that lives in that area. [emoji6]

Reminds me of my friend who lives in a "nice" neigborhood - city center, wide roads and huge cuts but she would complain to me about her sablay neighbors. Kahit saan lugar, there's always a problem neighbor.

Yup, batang Kankaloo ako dati, that neighborhood was good and peaceful, until I grew up and dumami na rin tambay, so lumipat ako sa south, tahimik ulit, fast forward now, magulo na rin, at dugyot in the words of LM, lilipat na naman kami inabot lang ng lockdown [emoji75]

Prices are crazy now. When i started out , it wasnt this nutty.

To make that kind of money at 30 yrs old...you gotta own your own successful biz.

No way an executive in his or her 30's makes that kind of Net here in this economic climate.

Bro...i suggest get somewhere in the south (nuvali) for your home. Expensive but not as crazy as it is in the city. Very doable now.

During my time, QC was relatively the bundoks. And i moved here as it was still relatively affordable and i bit the bullet and invested in land before it became out of reach. I knew my travel time was the compromise but i made my peace with that .

Now...laguna (nuvali), cavite (mamplasan etc) are your best bets. They are to metro manila now as to what QC was to makati then. If you get my drift.

Having said that...life over there is really really nice if you can live with a few volcanic eruptions here and there. Youre gonna have to deal w d traffic like the rest of us.. but at least you get to buy your dream home. Traffic is the price we pay for the affordability of our homes.

And the longer you wait, the further away the pricing gets.
