There are different types of willsrecognized in the Philippines, holographic wills and notarial wills. Holographic wills are handwritten and don't require witnesses, but they must be entirely written, dated, and signed by the testator. Notarial wills on the other hand require witnesses and must be notarized. Both follow some standard form and must not disinherit a valid heir without just cause.
