bluntman AMEX and other companies offer platinum cards....credit limit nito usually 200k pataas...unfortunately most gas stations here in the phils dont accept AMEX cards anymore dahil ang taas daw ng surcharge(not sure of the term) na ibinabawas nito sa mga merchant(like gas stations)...

Wala akong nakukuha sa Gold card ko. Kundi waived annual fee every year. Hehehe.

Just tell them di mo na gagamitin kasi may ibang bank magbibigay ng libre. They will probably waive theirs too.

imho, not all gold cards have high credit limits. meron ako Union Bank Visa Gold. ang credit limit nya is 60,000.00 lang. hehehe.

compared to my other gold cards:

    Standard Chartered : 200,000.00
    Security Bank: 250,000.00

may promo citibank upgrade to gold waived ang first year, kaso ang mahal ng annual fee 2,500 compared to 1200 lang sa silver. credit limit naman ng silver is above 70k narin mataas na masyado for me.
The maximum credit limit for Citibank Silver is P100,000.

Most people who have credit cards CANNOT pay the whole amout due
every month, so they will pay the prevailing interest rates for the
    balance.

So if you belong to this category of credit card users, then a GOLD card
is a big disadvantage to you given the amount of interest rate multiplied
    on your large standing balance.

Why pay an annual fee on an extra credit line that you don't actually use?
