based sa research ko , for petron nasa starting capital is 3M to 9M, depende sa laki ng location,

liit lang tlga tubo sa gas now, ang mas malaki ang kita eh yun mga small gas station na kumukuha sa mga illegal sa subic. yun ang balita ko.

    3M - 9M?

that's just enough for retailing fuel

you can't survive on just retailing fuel

    sobra low margin yan

that's why gas stations offer services like change oil, greasing, underwash, car wash, etc for additional income (additional investment -- a fully equipped service bay)

many stations have a mini-mart/convenience store, yung iba may fastfood or coffee shop (additional investment)

you'll definitely need other sources of income to survive

but that means you have to put up more capital

I'd rather put up a carwash with full detailing services and a decent chill-out place.

Tagal ng ROI nyan not unless you got an extra 15M to just let it sleep in a gas station.

nagtataka lang ako bakit yung ibang petrol stations kayang ibagsak ang presyo nila on that profit margin per liter quoted above by others. ibig bang sabihin sa other services na lang sila bumabawi?
dito sa baguio/la union halos 8 pesos/liter ang price difference kumpara sa manila, most of these stations carries all other services as well. ewan ko ba kung bakit sobra ang patong... akala mo naman mas mayaman tao dito. at di naman kalayuan ang poro point as source???

first question, yes, sa other services bumabawi, and convenience store

second question, maybe coz wala sila kalapit na gas stations na mababa ang presyo. i mean, baka malaki yung distance between gas stations

unlike dito sa Manila walking distance lang from one station to another, or magkatabi lang

dapat meron kang sobrang pera, as in yun you will not mind na "matulog" lang sa gas station...napakatagal ng ROI as what Lucius said. and the gas station should not be your main business, dapat parang side line lang yan.

GAS STATION BUSINESS, IS IT GOOD to Franchise?
