Di ko gets ung thinking ng mga tao na nakatira sa rental apartment tapos 2 o 3 kotse

Imbes na unahin ang bahay, inuuna ang kotse

Baka car plan yung kotse? Wala naman yatang housing plan na inooffer ang kumpanya pero common ang car plan. [emoji4]

Learned a lot from this thread.

Do you guys consider non liquid assets as savings? Or need it be cash and other liquid instruments?

Depends really on your school of thought.

If you follow Kiyosaki's Cash Flow Quadrant, then the properties that are for rental or capital appreciation are technically savings/investments while the house that you live in is not.

Personally, I'm a bit more lenient with myself in the sense that I consider the payments going to the condo as investments, just for the binary definition that anything that doesn't hold or appreciate in value isn't an investment. But technically unless I sell/rent it and not live in it, it's not an investment.

As long as your money is parked in assets that increase value over time I'd consider it savings

ang laki pala expenses namin monthly, wala kami amprtization, ay meron pala isang condo P40k/month but thats it kotse wala...insurance but I think semi or quarterly... kuryente, company shouldering it, but not monthly pag malaki lang like this month for the month of december or kung kailan ko ayaw magbayad...

but ang laki pa rin ng CC monthly, its like meron malaking expenses talga every month...but we different set up from others, my wife's money is hers, I dont care kung saan niya gastusin, i dont asked..siya nagbayad ng sweldo ng ma katulong and groceries cuz I dont want to get involved with that... she earned it, she spend it...

nun november and december I know saan yun extra na malaking gastos dahil dumating cousin ko from US and we have to pay for his stay in Solaire for 10 nights that's roughly p100k+ even with a corporate rate. then dumreteso pa sa boracay and we stayed in discovery 4 nights yun 2 rooms so roughly ganun din plus yun pagkain pa and airfare sa PAL, but I still have around 40-60k unaccounted hinde ko talaga alam saan napunta. last week ko pa iniisip...ah nag Japan pa pala..so hotel din kami...and ang mahal din ng hotel per night sa Japan...thats on top of our montly expenses..

Yes, isang school of thought diyan, money in your house - tulog...

So, instead, mag-apartment ka na lang,- and then use the money intended for the house (at least siguro P5M iyon) to run and finance your business.... And then, buy/build your dream home later...

Basta mas malaki ang tubo sa negosyo vs. appreciation ng bahay,- go with the former...

Else, kung mas maliit ang tubo sa negosyo o walang negosyo,- bahay ka...

That's a great setup! I agree with this kind of arrangement.
