AIG or BPI seems to be the better credit cards available here.
CITIBANK is also good in terms of services but interest rate is pretty high.
EQUITABLE is one of the worst.

Ang pagkakaalam ko kc ang equitable ang may largest nationwide POS network among local bank and even surpassing other foreign bank here.

Metrobank credit cards po. very simple ang pag compute ng charges like interests and penalties if ever nakalimutan mong magbayad on time. napansin din ito ng isang relative ko who worked for SGV (which is the accounting firm of 90% of the banks here.) assigned pa naman sya sa mga banks. hindi daw sila nahirapan sa Unibancard (credit card company of metrobank) dahil nga very simple ang computation. unlike other banks/cards na paikot-ikot ang computation.

BPI express credit one of the lowest interest rates (lagi pa silang may "madness" promo sa glorietta), CITYBANK(visa/mastercard) isa sa pinakamataas magbigay ng credit limit lalo na yung VISA, AIG ok din dahil pwede mong gamitin yung points mo na na-accumulate para i-reverse yung annual membership fee, medyo mababa lang nga credit limit nito compared to other banks. I use credit cards for convenience, lalo na pag nagpapa gas. Instead of withdrawing from an ATM or carrying around lots of money e di i-swipe ko na lang, lapit ko lang naman sa mga pay centers e. Basta't ang ginagawa ko para hindi malubog sa utang at di masyadong ma-charge an ng interest, pinipilit kong mabayaran agad yung majority ng balance ko within the next billing period, ganito ginagawa ko para di maipon utang ko.

IMO, International - Citibank VC/MC - best in terms of service..kahit over the phone lang pwede na yung ibang requests mo...tulad nga ng sabi ng iba, ibang klase din naman mag-compute ng interest, ang taas!...huwag na huwag kang magkamaling magpa-overdue...ang galing mag-trace at mag-probe ng mga collection officers niyan...mahahanap at mapapabayad ka talaga...
Local - Equitable VC/MC - interest computation is just based on remaining balance..okay na rin yung service...

January 13th, 2003 11:35 PM #18Walang APR-APR dito sa Pinas. Very usurious ang interest
They tempt you to spend
beyond your means.
Believe me, the sooner you get rid of those cards, the better
it is for you.
Just maintain ONE card and keep it home. use it only for
emergencies as in you use that to charge expenses if ever
you or your loved ones needs to be rushed to a hospital.
Otherwise, transact on cash basis or through ATM debit cards.
Take charge of your own financial destiny. Credit cards will
just enslave you to the point where you will say "Just send my
paycheck to Mastercard"....

So far nasusubukan ko palang for more than a year yung bill namin ng Meralco at PLDT binabayaran ko online..
