    i really don't know why people would still buy food products from China. They have a proven track record of not giving a sh_t when it comes to food safety:

    -- melamin-laced milk, which was confiscated, sold again to the market, confiscated again, and sold again.
    -- gutter oil used by street vendors
    -- exploding watermelons due to overdose of fertilizers/chemicals
    -- vintage meat from the 70s being sold in markets
    -- berries carrying hepatitis A

    ...and God knows what else that hasn't been exposed. What's worse, pollution in China is getting so bad that work/school have been cancelled due to smog, ansd something in the order of 60% of their underground water is no longer fit for human contact

    Same here. I also look at labels in the supermarket, if it's from China, I don't buy it anymore.
