Not many have cc. The emv chipped cards will elimimate the use of cc.

I dont think emv debit cards will replace credit card usage... Current reward programs provide better incentives to use credit cards vs debit cards.

All banks will migrate to EMV, starting with debit cards.

the latest incident was possibly the CVV code on the back was copied along with the card details, no more need for the mag stripe since the card was EMV equipped...

possibly multiple coffee shop prepaid giftcard purchases online was made, so tracking the IP address could help...

with this, should the CVV code be removed on the back of the card itself?

unless the Internet used was from a prepaid sim card. removing the code can be use as a deterrent. wag lang makalimutan.

just imagine how much trust you are giving waitress, gasoline boy, cashiers. by handing them your credit card. it's like handing them the max available cash that they can "get" by just copying the card number and code.
