Manila 701
Crazy Race
July 19-20, 2008
After the successful 1st Edition of the Manila 701, last year, City Kart Racing is bringing back the craziness to the race tracks this year! Get ready to see a very different racing environment with very unusual and interesting situations only a real racing fanatic and creative track genius can come up with! We are bringing you Manila 701 The Crazy
Race 2nd Edition!
•Manila 701 is an endurance race – a type of team race where the teams compete for varying long periods of time. This is the real deal – with speedy gas refilling and smooth driver changing. The fun is not just at the track but also at the frenzied events at the pit. Endurance races provide adrenaline rush and excitement to both drivers and spectators. It enhances team spirit and most importantly, reveals the best team strategy!
What makes Manila 701 really crazy?
The race will not have a definite duration. The race will continue to go on until the race leader finishes the first 701 laps! Since no one knows the exact duration of the race, it makes it very hard for the teams to position their strategies. Therefore, the teams must be flexible and must be very reactive to the race conditions and events.
•The race goes non-stop from Saturday night to Sunday afternoon! This will test the durability of the equipments and the resilience of the drivers! Watch as super-athletes emerge on this event.
•This race is open to all – you don’t have to be racing expert to participate! Discover the Michael Schumacher in you!
•On July 19 and 20, City Kart will be transformed as the ultimate party place in the metro – we are planning 16-hours of non-stop partying.
•We are introducing entertaining live bands and cool DJ’s to rock the CKR house all through the night! Everyone will want to drop by and just hang out, chill, and watch the racing commotion. We will be the go-to place for that weekend!
•Giant screens will be positioned around the party area to showcase the ongoing race and the bands, the DJ’s, and the party people rocking the house.
•With the party set-up, you don’t have to be a driver to also enjoy The Crazy Race. Hang out with the coolest people who will be showing up to watch or participate in the race. This will truly be a unique experience!
•Things will happen during the crazy race that should never happen in a real race”. Similar to last year, we’re bringing in several road conditions that never happen on the race track, but do happen in real life! With cool and awesome special effects, we will reproduce extreme weather and road conditions of the Philippines… from typhoons, to volcanic eruptions, landslides, strong rain, and blackouts… To add more fun, we are introducing new challenging conditions: extreme traffic jams, heavy ash fall, surprising detours, and sleet showers (ice pellets). Drivers will have to bear and deal with these conditions during the race – while keeping their focus to win.
•While the drivers enjoy an unusual and lively track, the spectators can enjoy watching the race while listening to live bands and DJ’s in our bar/restaurant VIP lounge, and dance all night long. Party starts at 10pm till 3pm the day after. It’s more than 16 hours of non-stop party? Can you survive?Last edited by madjhal; July 27th, 2008 at 10:07 PM.

OO nga..how much eto...i think this will be cool..if yung mga car clubs that was formed here on tsikot to have their own teams to join in this. (i.e. Strada Club, Avanza Club, Innova Club, Subaru Club, Suzuki Club, etc)
The Strada Club of the Philippines is interested! Endurance race, and it's cool to have our members switch driving and experience this. It's sort of a team building in one.
