    CAR SHOW RULES:
    1. Ingress time is from 9 AM to 1:00 PM
    Participants who will arrive after 1:00 PM will be disqualified from the competition.

    Judging will start at 1:00 PM.

    2. The parking slots will be on a first come first served basis. Reservation of slots can be made from the start of the registration period.

    3. The event will feature a Car Show, Miniature Car Display, RC Drift Competition, dBSportloudmatch and Product Demos from our sponsors. Participants are also encouraged to bring a car babe.

    4. There will be several categories where interested parties may join.
     The Major Awards include the Best of Show, Best in Classic Modified, Best in Classic Stock, Best in Contemporary Modified, Best in Contemporary Stock, Best in Millennium Modified, Best in Millennium Stock and Best Vintage awards. The 1st and 2nd placers of each category will receive trophies plus freebies from the sponsors of the event.
     Stock vehicles are those which have up to 3 MAJOR MODIFICATIONS with any number of MINOR MODIFICATIONS.
     Vehicles with more than 3 major modifications can only join the Modified categories.Major modifications include:

    o EXTERIOR
    (Paint & Finish, Exterior Trim, Exterior Glass,
    Exterior Lights, Bumpers, Miscellaneous parts)

    o INTERIOR
    (Upholstery, Instrumentation, Carpets, Moldings/Trim,
    Interiors Glass, Compartments, Accessories, Miscellaneous Areas.)

    o ENGINE & DRIVETRAIN
    (Basic Engine, Accessories, radiator, Firewall,Compartment, Hood, Intake & Exhaust Systems)

    o SUSPENSION & BRAKES
    (Fender Walls, Front & Rear Suspension Members, Steering Gear, Wheels & Tires)

     Minor modifications include steering wheels, shift knobs, pedals, and the like.
     Vintage category includes cars manufactured in 1959 or earlier.
     Classic category includes cars manufactured from 1960-1989.
     Contemporary category includes cars manufactured from 1990-1999.
     Millennium category includes cars manufactured from 2000 to present.






    5. The registration period will begin on January 16, 2010. Early registrants will get the opportunity to choose a specific parking slot during the event. Full payment is required upon registration. 5 consecutive Saturdays are allotted for meet-ups:

    Walk-in participants will also be welcome but the parking slots will be at a first come first served basis.

    6. Early registrants must inform the organizers at least one day before the intended date from the schedule above. Preferred places for meet-ups are at Trinoma, SM North Edsa, SM Megamall, Greenhills Shopping Center, Katipunan Avenue, and The Fort.

    7. Early registration can also be done anytime at the UP Gears and Pinions Tambayan, 2nd floor west wing, College of Engineering, UP Diliman. The registrants must also inform the organizers at least one day before the intended date of registration

    8. Registrants shall secure a photocopy of the vehicle’s OR/CR in their registration forms as a proof of the car manufacturer and the manufacturing date.

    9. Registration fee is Php1500per entry. A discounted fee ofPhp1200 will be given to groups with 3-4 entries and Php 1000 will be given to groups with 5 or more entries. The Php100 early registration discount also applies to group entries, in effect having to pay only Php1200for groups with 3-4 entries each and Php900 for groups with 5 or more entries.

    If a car is participating in both the car show and the loudmatch, a Php500 discount is given for the loudmatch registration fee.

    Free tentsfor the car will be provided. There is no maximum number of car entries.

    10. All of the awards, except for the Co-Presenter's Choice Award, will be based on the scores from a panel of judges, all of whom will be experts in the field of motor sports and shows. The judge’s decision is final.

    ANARCHY

    REGISTRATION

    • Registration starts at 1pm,. There will be a first come, first served basis with respect to the parking/pit area. Competitors must fill-up the form completely and accurately. The name of the owner of the car and the person who shall control the volume (hitman) shall be specified in the registration form.
    • Once registered, competitors’ cars may be parked at the designated area. Only registered vehicle shall be allowed to enter and park at the LOUDMATCH area of the event venue.
    • Registration is PhP1,500 for the street and mild classes and PhP 1,700 for the wild class. The dBsport competition cd shall be announced and the rulez for the event shall be declared.
    • The dBsport board of inspectors shall then determine the class of the vehicle based on the registration forms filled up by the competitors. Thereafter, a thorough inspection of the vehicle shall be done. Approval of the inspector is required before the vehicle is given a competitor number or before the competitor is listed. Refund or any form of cancellation shall no longer be allowed after the vehicle is inspected. All findings by the inspector or may be appealed only after a PhP1,000 bond is filed with the dBsport organizers.
    • Ideally, there must be at least 4 competitors per category.

    ELIMINATIONS

    • The board shall announce the pairings for each classes. There will be two vehicles to be staged simultaneously( at the discretion of the board/number of competitors-dependent ). All the vehicles’ doors must be closed (or whatever is rule declared on the date of the event). Amarshall shall signal the drivers to start. The competitor is given 60 seconds to prepare the cd and his system. After 60 secons, the meter shall be automatically started and the competitor may now crank the loudest their system is capable using only the dBsport provided cd within 30 seconds. Cabin light or any form of illumination must be on and the interior of the car must be seen from the outside while the meter is reading. Doors and window should not be moved while the meter is reading… The marshall shall then signal the competitor to turn off their system.
    • The STREET CLASS shall be held first, followed by the MILD CLASS then the WILD CLASS.ANARCHY is the last to be staged. The vehicle shall be driven to the staging area except the anarchy.
    • The volume may only be controlled by the owner or representative of the owner. He may be substituted only after a notice is given to the marshall or inspector prior to the staging of the vehicle. Substitution shall not be allowed after or during the staging of the vehicle.
    • The maximum voltage for all the categories shall be 18 volts while the engine is running.
    • Vehicles with modified charging system may only compete in the WILD class.
    • In the STREET CLASS, the subwoofers must be mounted in the original trunk area( retractable seat must be locked in the upright position). No vans, wagons, hatchbacks, liftbacks or any vehicle without trunk shall be allowed in the street class, they may compete only in mild or wild class. A front system not larger than 6x9 must be installed in stock location, a pair is only allowed both in front and rear. More than that, it will be transferred to the MILD class.
    • Those in the lower class may still go up and compete in other classes provided they pay the registration fee which is 50% of the first/original registration fee paid by the competitor. Registration must be done before the elimination of the next class starts or only if there is a call for upgrades or challenge.
    • Competitors shall not compete directly to a higher class. He must first register to the official class based on the determination of the board as to the number of subwoofers installed.
    • In the MILD class, the enclosure must have a maximum height not higher than the top of the rear seat (minus headrest) and the base of the window/s beside or around the enclosure, otherwise, he goes to compete in the wild/wall class. Furthermore, any other materials which can be considered as an integral part of the enclosure , like brackets/ support, port, tube, or any other part of the subwoofer, amplifier and other accessories, should likewise not exceed the maximum height imposed, otherwise, it shall be eligible only to compete in the wild/ wall class. Street (Trunk) class may now join the mild class with their backrest removed. Cars with trunks should play first in the street class before it may upgrade to mild class if it would want to remove or retract the backrest forward.
    • The competitor is required to wear ear protection during the competition. If there is none, competitor automatically waives liability (implied waiver) from dBsport and shall attest that dBsport shall not be liable to whatever adverse effect which shall result therefrom.
    • The competitor shall be solely responsible for the protection and security of his car and equipment, because even as the organizers provide ample security, it cannot keep an eye to every move of every person in the area.
    • During the measurement process, no additional power supply shall be allowed. Furthermore, any substitution to any of the equipment after the vehicle is inspected, must be notified first with any marshall or inspector for proper recording and inspection.
    • In street and mild categories, front and second row seats are required in upright position. Otherwise, they shall be classified to join the wild class.
    • The microphone/sensor shall be placed in the windshield adjacent to the front passenger seat for the STREET and MILD Classes. The backrests for the front seats and the backseats shall not be allowed to be removed. The microphone/sensor shall be anywhere at the right hand part of the center of the windshield. For the WILD CLASS, the microphone may be placed at any part of the windshield, at the discretion of the competitor.
    • Fuse, fuse blocks, batteries and proper wiring shall be strictly inspected after the eliminations. If there are defects or findings of being unsafe or dangerous installation, competitor is immediately disqualified and any winning shall be forfeited and any record of reading shall not be recognized
    • For those who violated the abovementioned procedure, warning may be given. If there are simple violations, such as but not limited to discourtesy to other competitors and marshalls and inspectors, a total of two warnings shall be given and recorded. Third violation is automatic disqualification. However, Error in the crank/volume control procedure while the meter is reading shall result to automatic disqualification.
    • Competitors disqualified may re-enter/ re-register as soon as the error is rectified, subject to the approval of the board.
    • Second chance (Buy Back) are given to those who lose a round or for those whose system stopped, jumped, blocked or those which broke down. PhP 500 will be charged for those competitors. Second chances, however shall be allowed up to third round only. The competitor must avail of the second chance before the next class starts. .Late availment of the second chance shall be tantamount to the entry/upgrade to the next higher class.
    • Other rules and policies shall be determined by the dBsport inspectors with the objective of fair, honest and clean competition.
