Use the signal lights before changing lanes.

    for me..

    *always practice DEFENSIVE driving...
*wag un sugod ng sugod, mnsan ambilis mgpatakbo kala mo natatae!
*umalis ng maaga para d ma-late at di magmadali...
*stay ALERT.. mnsan kht matino mgdrive nababangga pa rin coz of the reckless drivers sa paligid...
*always check ur gulong & breaks b4 travelling..
    *use seatbelt RELIGIOUSLY...
*never underestimate the use of SIGNAL LIGHTS...
*PATIENCE is a MUST, hold ur TEMPER coz madalas init ng ulo nagsisimula mga away & gitgitan sa kalsada.
*mind the road, not ur FONE
*avoid LOUD MUSIC while driving, you might not be aware but it affects your driving performance.. (you dont want ur TSIKOT look like a CELLFONE ringing w/ POLYPHONIC TONE on the road sa tindi ng BASS mo, ayt?)

guilty... for using cellphone, for changing lanes, right side overtaking, not using seatbelts, unpatience, sugod ng sugod...

pero mas maingat na ako ngayon.

ok to have first aid kit sa kotse niyo ,pero check it once in a while baka expired na yung mga nakalagay dun or natuyo na nag betadine, include flashlight, car charger, swiss army or mac gyver tool for emergency

I learned a scary lesson yesterday.

While on my way to Manaoaog Pangasinan, I decided to park at a curb to buy something at a store along the highway (there was no shoulder). Before I opened the door, I first looked and checked at the side view mirror for incoming vehicles. Seeing none, I decided to open the door and step out of the vehicles.

Horror of horrors, on the opposite lane, a speeding pickup has overtaken a tricycle just as I was stepping out. I was maybe an inch away from the passing pickup and I could feel the strong rush of wind pushing the car door. I felt I had another chance at life.

Lesson1: Always check both lanes on the road everytime you step out of the vehicle. Some vehicles on the opposite lane might not see you or are just plain dumb and careless..

Lesson2: As for the pickup, the driver should have had alerted me through his horn. Unfortunately, he or she blew the horn just as the vehicle was already in a critical situation. Can't blame him/her. Nabigla lang naman siguro siya but it is also important to consider these things happening.

To Fellow Tsikoteers: I hope you won't have to experience something as scarey as this. Doble ingat lang lalo na pag humihinto sa highway.

Parang delikado atang magpark sa isang curve lalot walang shoulder. I never do that , maghahanap na lang ako ng medyo diretsong kalsada (of course na may store kung may bibilhin ako). So, no offense meant siguro ito ung lesson 3.

magkaiba yung curb sa curve... no offense meant din..

add ko lang.. always check your spare tire, jack and tire wrench. madalas malimutan ito lalo na kung nasa ilalim ng trunk nakalagay. i had a flat tire last week and unfortunately, malambot pala yung spare tire. buti na lang may malapit na vulcanizing..

Cars and stupidity don't mix well.

    We need better driver education.

actually, directo yung daan at that time (1/4 ng sasakyan nasa daan, 3/4 nasa gilid na) pero hindi ko rin ine expect na ganon pala yung mangyayari. It was sort of taking an unneccessary risk yung magpark sa gilid ng isang highway kahit na naka on pa hazard lights mo..
