i guess it would be best if you just took it to an auto accessories shop, they'd be able to hook it up in 5-10 minutes. how small is the oem horn and where is it located? (specifically where under the hood?)

Re: siren. Yes it can be changed. The Viper system of my brother now sounds like an Autopage system. Not sure about the cost but it should not be expensive. The siren was acquired from Banawe. From Jaffas, I think.

Is your factory buzzer bolted to car's body? If it is, that is where the negative or ground connection for the aftermarket buzzer should go.

Pero oo i figured out yung negative wire e sa unpainted body dapat i-mount.

I've been to banawe already and without surprise hindi nila alam yung "piezo". Kinakamutan lang ako ng ulo like what i expected. I always try to explain the part pero most shops na natanungan ko wala daw silang ganun.

Try the electronic parts shops like the ones in Raon. I'd assume that your piezo is rated at 12v, but to be sure just measure it - meron kasing mga piezo na below 12v ang rating. HTH

Naalala ko lang. Stuffing a rag into the siren's 'cone' is also a good way to quiet it down. Ginawa ko yun sa Sentra dati when the key fob had a problem.

Autopage is a single tone alarm. It sounds very European.

How does the autostart work? I mean, I understand that it starts your engine. But, when you get into the car, you still have to turn the key?

I might get this done, summer's coming up, and I think it would be great to start the car, and have the a/c on before you get into the car.

You still have to insert the key. Otherwise, the engine will shut off when you touch the brakes or attempt to lower the parking brake.

    sa alarm ko ganito,

at armed state, press key(s) to start. pag start, armed pa rin. pag sinusi mo yung lock at binuksan, shut down makina then alarm.

dapat, disarm muna, sakay, saksak susi and put at ON position. pag hindi nisaksak susi, like what sir otep said, mamamatay makina

I'm not an electrician. But AFAIK, they have it tapped to the switch that also illumites the handbrake warning on the dash. If the circuit is not continous (handbrake down), remote start will not work or engine will die (in case engine is running).

The other one is on the brake light switch above the brake pedal. If circuit is completed (e.g. you step on the brakes) with the ignition not in the 'ON' position, engine also dies.

That would depend on the installer. But the answer would be yes if your installer has the skills.

However, you can only use the OEM transmitter to lock or unlock the doors, it will not disarm the system so you will still trigger the alarm when you open the door. At least you can use the OEM as a spare.
