May 1st, 2009 11:51 PM #21Hi Doc,
If I may ask, ok kaya na magpakabit nito considering bago pa lang ang i10 ko? sa casa kasi, ang alarm with central locks cost 5.5k including labor. kay jameson, magkano ang labor, aside from the 1.6k cost of the alarm?
also, may i ask anong car mo and kumusta ang linis ng install?
Thanks!

Install the control box in a hidden position
Affix the shock sensor onto something very stable and solid (e.g. vehicle body)
Wire the visible warnings onto the signal lamps instead of parklamps
One last thing, if you install an aftermarket alarm on a Picanto, the door ajar and tailgate ajar warning lamps will now illuminate at the same time irregardless of which door you have opened. Not really a big issue for me.

May 5th, 2009 12:02 AM #25Thank you Doc! I am in touch with Jameson yesterday, just finding time for this install as well as a horn install. I am sure Jameson can do this easily.
Will update this forum once install is finished.

Just brought kumanders car there to get the rad overhauled by Jorge and the Force alarm installed by Jameson. This guy is the shiznit. Sa sobrang tuwa ko nagpa upgrade din ako ng headlight ni kumander. Complete with ceramic sockets, wiring, relay etc. He knows how to treat his customers well. Thanks for the advice Doc! I'm now recommending Jameson to all my buddies.

Had the FORCE installed yesterday and I'm quite happy with it thus far.
It covers all my needs and does it's job effectively.
Boss Otep, where is the antenna to help increase the range of the transmitter? I may want to reposition it though I may leave it where it is as I get paranoid that I may accidentally press the remote some how and open the vehicle with no one around to protect him.
Dealing with Jameson is a great experience, for now on, he is one of my go-to guys when it comes to having work done.
Thanks for the referral Doc.

Greetings Doc OTEP,
Question lang sana. My ride is a 96 Corolla Gli Bigbody, just bought it 3 months agofrom a friend. Car still have the original Toyota VSS as its secutriy system. Plan ko na din kasi magpalit to a more up to date SS. Will this FORCE VSS be a good upgrade/change for my cars SS? Pero not now, napitikan kasi me ng side mirror last night lang..huhuhu. Kaya I plan to improve my VSS.
Would you also advise na ipatanggal ko na yung original VSS hardwares o they will reuse some of the wiring/parts para dun sa new?
TIA po sa reply.

Hi, about the TVSS, best advise ko is to disconnect the module na lang but still keep it under the dash so all the components are still in the car. You can even keep the original remotes in an envelope with the owner's manual and other papers.
Then have the installer put in the new alarm. You will reuse some of the parts like the same door motors and link up to almost the same set of wires when you put in the new system. Just make sure you have a good installer.
I don't think any vehicle security system is designed to thwart side mirror theft po.

Copy on that Doc,thanks for the input. I'll try na din to contact yung referred ninyong si Jameson to inquire about the SS, hope ma-accomodate nya ko. Sa kanya na din po bibilin yung SS unit right? May pwesto po ba sya sa Banawe? As in shop po ba?
As for the side mirror, I usually fold kasi yung side mirror ko when parked na. I'm hoping a good SS could be triggered pag binuka yung side mirror bago pitikin yung lens. Hopefully mataranta yung magnanakaw and magtatakbo nalang..ehehe.
Kaya lang kainis yung TVSS ko, inuga ko na't lahat yung body and sinipasipa na yung gulong, aba e ayaw pa ding mag alarm...Pero pag biritan ng mutorsiklo or even pag umulan, hala e alarm na ng alarm..ang gulo.
Oooppss, OT na ata.
Again Doc, thanks sa tip. I'll just post my updates once napagawa ko na SS ko..
Good day Pips!!
Are they on track to surpass last year's sales?
