I don;t know what is rude with saying that. It is an opinion. Anyway, read my post again. I already said "your money, your rules".

in my case kasi, besides sa nakakahinayang sirain, mas abala kung didistrongkahin ko pa yung cigar lighter adapter na kasama sa dashcam para ma-hardwire. tsaka yung hardwire kit na ginamit ko USB type A port, so possible na gamitin sa iba ibang type nang cable kung may bagong dashcam man akong gamitin other than mini USB type port. its more of a permanent and OEM approach to hardwiring dashcams. not necessary, but definitely not a waste of money. in my opinion.

I just used the charger that came with the dashcam. That already converts 12V to 5V.

is it a cigar lighter port type of charger? if so, how did you hardwire the adapter to the fuse box without disassembling the adapter?

i imagine a PCB or coils to convert voltage is inside the housing? i would not know where to tap +/- wires if that is the case.

are you referring to the cable wires?the ones that connect to the dashcam itself? how about the internals of the adapter, the converter itself? how did you tap the wires from the fuse box to the converter? did you leave it dangling around unprotected? thanks!
