    I'm thinking of getting this. $45.35 * gearbest

    Takot lang ako ma tax sa mail although previously I bought 2 1000 peso AA flashlights by mail and no tax. Although mas maliit ang package ng flashlights

    pros
    * capacitor
    * HD
    * small and compact
    * you dont pay for the screen, wifi nalang sa cellphone
    * all axis rotation of the mount
    * nice specs sa lens/sensor

    cons
    * customs tax???
    * plus minus 5 seconds lang ang manual saved video aka SOS mode
    * relatively little known i.e. wala masyado reviews
    * suction cup mount although other models meron adhesive mount and pwede ko itali nalang sa honda mobilio rearview mirror

    Mga sir,

    question lang. I'm looking to get a dashcam online kasi, pero it'll include a rear cam sa package. I'm not confident I can install it myself, especially since I'll need to tap the wiring sa reverse light to engage the rear cam when in reverse gear.

    Saan kaya maganda at amtino magpa-install? Banawe lang ba? Would you be able to reco any shops? Pwede rin sana if meron in the San Juan/Pasig/Mandaluyong area so di na ako lalayo Thanks in advance for any leads.

    just got a xiaomi yi to replace my sj4000. will see if it is really better lalo na sa night driving.

    just some initial thoughts:
    1. it is a lot bigger than the sj4000 but it does not seem bulkier because it is thinner.
    2. i do not like the mount. ang liit nung suction. nakakatakot baka mahulog. and also the connection from the mount to the camera itself. hindi ganun kadali tanggalin unlike sa sj4000 na parang may housing. baka sa kadalasan ng tanggal-lagay, mabali. while i don't usually remove my dashcam kahit bilad sa araw, tinatanggal ko kapag delikado yung pinagparkingan.
    3. the big lcd is a big plus compared to the sj4000 na ang liit.
    4. di naman masyado halata pag nakakabit (i got medium front tints). bought the gray/silver color.
    5. nice packaging.

    so now i have 2 sj4000. one used primarily as dashcam, the other as action cam. will probably be disposing one at a cheap price.

    Halata pala siya from the front even with medium front tints. Must find a way to black out that front face (pwede kaya spray paint).

    Field of view is not as wide as sj4000 (165 vs 170). I mounted it on the same spot. Sa sj4000 almost kita sa video yung a-pillars. Sa xiaomi hindi.

    Medyo mas halata yung fish eye effect ng xiaomi compared sa sj4000.

    Daytime parang mas ok for me video ni sj4000 (personal preference). Mas crisp.

    Nightime mas ok nga si xiaomi. Maaninag mo pa rin yung sides na kung sa sj4000 dark shadows na lang. Mas halata din colors sa gabi.

    Faster startup time si xiaomi. Once i turn on the car, start na rin agad sya magrecord. Sa sj4000 merong few seconds of boot up time. Not a big deal for me since i usually spend a minute or two to check mirrors, seatbelts, etc and say a prayer before driving off.

    Audio recording is weaker than sj4000.

    Ang hirap tanggalin sa mount once naka-install na sa windshield. Meron ba nabibili na ibang.mount para dito?

    Will add more reviews.

    Yang problem sa focus is old problem na, updated na firmware ng new xiaomi yi dashcam. Mas maganda bilin nyo po yung international version. Ako kasi china version pero pinalitan ko ng firmware hehe mas nakatipid ako.
    Yung sa weather hindi ko pa alam kc almost 1month palang ata dashcam ko. Hehe

    sa nabasa ko yung focus issue is kapag bilad sa araw. nawawala pagka-crisp ng video (lose focus). pero once cooled, back to normal na.

    i don't think it will be a problem kapag umaandar ang sasakyan at naka-aircon ka. or kung may tint. it will probably be an issue if no tint tapos bilad sa araw and no aircon. but who does that? kapag naka-park lang naman.

    update: i bought a permanent marker (flat tip) and "painted" the front face black. hindi na halata with medium tints. ghetto hehe. will probably do a better job one weekend using spray paint.

    Sir sa "pyrs online shop" ako bumili, search mo sa fb. Mas mura sa mga nasabi mong seller. Trusted sila at mabilis kausap.

    got mine sa olx. if habol mo lang sa international version ay yung english menus (the only other significant difference is the mount. suction for chinese, 3m adhesive for international), just get the chinese version and flash the firmware. ganun ginawa ko. you'll save P300 to P500 depending on the seller (ave price difference ng chinese sa international version).

    To those dashcams with parking mode capability, how do you put this into use when the car is parked? By using a powerbank as a power source?

    I want to try this also but the problem is my polaroid ds301 uses a mini usb cable and not the typical micro usb one. Ang hirap maghanap. I've been to several cdr-king and cable monster branches to buy one but to no avail.

    Mini usb ba ang sj4000? Di ko kasi makonek sa powerbank ko yung lighter cable. Kailangan ko talaga ng mini usb cable to usb male (na mahirap hanapin).

    I think you will need this multiple usb male cable plugs to be able to power up your sj4k with a power bank.

    i bought a silvertec dashcam on a promo disount ( 1k off siya) yesterday at octagon computer shop. it would be replacing a car cam w/ a bloated battery rendering it inefficient. hopefully, maganda performance naman nitong silvertec kasi inabot din ako ng mga 30 mins pag-install at pagtago ng wire nito sa driver side pillar at weather strippings niya f

    Im currently testing this app called daily roads voyager, its free on android its so good to the point that im not using my dashcam anymore which is a gopro sessions. Whats cool bout the app is its automatic, once you turn the phone sideways and put the charger cable on the phone which we notmally do, it just automatically records, no buttoms to push, once you remove the charger,it will shop recording. Cool

    Nakita ko nga yan. Cables nila at powerbank okay ang performance eh, sana nga pati sa dasham. They are a taiwan company iirc.
