I like the waze + google maps for navigation. Caution though, make sure you use both, hirap umasa sa isa lang sa kanila.
I once relied on Google maps alone, I looked for an ATM, I ended up in the middle of a rice field asking a farmer if there's an ATM nearby.
I once relied on waze, I just followed it until I realized I'm to deep to a small road (iskinita) that I had to reverse. And I'm far away from where I need to go.
I prefer waze over the montero's hu gps because of the traffic updates. Plus waze is more updated, when I passed TPlex on its inaugural day nakalagay na kaagad sa waze...
Malakas Lang ang battery drain pero May car charger namin for that. Since unlidata ang plan ko, no issues on monthly bills.
Smart phone Gps and in car navigation has its pros and cons. I still prefer in car navigation though.
Madalas mawala ang GPS lock sa smartphone even on unhindered and clear sky, yung standalone GPS unit solid ba yung lock?
Agree bro.,- even when using a GPS,- you have to use your common sense....
Do not trust it 100%, especially here in the Philippines.....It is in the way the map was written....

mga sir, question lang. yung GPS ba kayang ibigay yung road condition like traffiic gaya ng nagagawa ng waze? lately kasi parang laging may problema yung waze eh. TIA
Here in the Philippines, that service is not available. But in other countries,- yes,- it gives you the traffic condition.....
My GPS took a long while to get connected to the geosync satellite this morning (like I already drove 5-7Km), because of the heavy cloud cover.... I wonder if the phone with GPS is better at this.....

Stopped using my tomtom after waze has given me a dependable service😊
we use both. kailangan si waze for traffic updates. kailangan yung gps para may basic map orientation tsaka kasi walang signal parati si globe.
I bought Sygic for iPhone. Accurate naman sya. Naliliitan lang ako sa iPhone. Hehehe. Planning to buy a Gramin Nuvi or Android phone na lang na malaki ang screen.
May owner/users ba dito ng Nuvi 55LM or 65LM. Free lifetime maps na rin sya per Garmin PH website.

I've installed osmand and navfree on my phone and so far mas ok ang navfree.
I've tried Tagaytay and navfree gave me the fastest route na shortcut dito samin while osmand gave me the known road/way (highway) na lalayo pa ako at iikot.
Though I haven't tried it in real action. Maybe this Saturday :D
Paano i-save yung route na pupuntahan mo if you're offline both navfree and osmand? Do I need to make a route first while online then ma ssave na sya offline?
Thanks
