Hi doc, I got mine from eBay from store in Guangdong. It reached me in less than a week from the time they shipped my item.

I have bad experiences with china generic HUs with GPS. They're all Win CE based and masyadong buggy.

But that was more than 3-5 yrs ago.

Nag improve na kaya by now?

    MachinePistol,

Aside from the unit cost, how much did you pay for shipping, customs, & taxes? Did you pay these up front or when the courier delivers this to you?

Around Asia, the quickest, safest & cheapest way is through the Express Mail System. Advantage is it takes only a week to get here & freight cost is cheap. Item is assessed based on total invoice price (item cost + shipping). Disadvantages are that the mailed postal notice for you to pick up the item takes a week or 2, you will have to pick up the item from the Post Office in Pasay & it is very difficult to haggle with the customs officer for then customs duties.

Forget about EMS. Philpost will take forever to notify you that your package has arrived. And when you go to Pasay (after braving the heavy traffic there due to expressway construction) to pick up your package, they will take forever to locate, assess and release it. And you'll be surprised you will be paying a third of the value of your item in duties, taxes and fees.

I had mine shipped via an international courier service (I forgot whether it was DHL) and they delivered the package right in my doorstep. Duties and taxes were a reasonable 500 pesos (I made special arrangement with Chinese merchant). It took around 4 days from receipt of the package by the courier from the merchant up to my receipt of the item in my office. Shipping fee was around P1,500.

I'll review my invoice and shipping documents so I can post details.

try Car DVD Player, Car Electronics, Car Accessories at Qualir they have android based and win ce devices. shipping by DHL. you can pay via pay pal for the unit and shipping. You only pay dhl for the customs duties once the unit is delivered to you. It will arrived less than a week. Make sure that you check everything in the website pictures including the needed wires and sockets before making the final ordering and compatible to your car.
