OT din: Have you checked out his Corolla Big Body's tail light? Love his LED project.

oo, kasi oras lang na hindi ako nasa good hands, eh malilintikan sa akin ang batang yun, hahaha... pag natapos na kasi niya yun retrofitting, kami na rin ang gagawa ng wire harness niya at aiming sa kanila.

OT ulit: ah oo. gusto ko ang ginawa niyang led tail lights, and i figured it out na kung paano. pero uunahin ko ang reverse lights ko muna na i-convert to led.

5.5K - plug and play projector, saan mo bili? may nakita din akong plug and play + hid sa ebay at 6-7k. may budget ako nyan but hintay pa ako bro punta sa states. peru baka next year pa. huhuhu....

actually nilapitan ko po sila nung una kong pinarating yang projector kasi sila nagbubukas ng headlight. pero yung sa civic ko ako nag kabit experiment sa huli since madami nakabitan nasanay din ako magbukas hehe at maglinis

wala pong prob kung sa kanila po kayo kukuha ng proj or sa amin. friendly competiton po dapat lahat, walang siraan walang inggitan. mabait si north customs. maganda pa angel eyes niya

I think iisa lang sila Sir. hehe... pati price kasi pareho.

Sayang yung heat gun pag di nag-DIY. hehe.. Yung 5.5K sa Shanghai, China ko nabili. Kasama customs taxes umabot lang ako ng 7.5K total (depende kasi sa customs kung magkano appraisal value nila e, pero saken 40USD lang inassess kahit 100USD nakalagay sa declared value - and yup wala pong lagay to, talagang mababa nila inassess ng wala akong sinasabi). Sa manufacturer 'to mismo, pati head units na pangkotse ng mga pinsan ko dito ko na binili. hehehehe

Tapos ballast 2K at kay Abay kabit 1K, solve ka na. =) Di lang gwaping ang naka-projector, kagalang-galang pa kasi di ka nakakabulag.

my projector fogs are not from delica. I have no idea what ride it came from. and the cutoff is not good. If I have time, I'm improvizing the cutoff.

hmm... Medyo maliit lang talaga ang mga plug and play retrofits. kaya I think hindi malakas ang buga nila. but atleast a good chance of flawless installation.

this is one of those retrofit dimensions

Same ads I saw! Kaya napagkamalan, hehe sorry talaga. As per yung lumang projectors ko, I'm planning to have it covered in glass and displayed somewhere at home - memorabilia! Haha, first and proud retrofit kasi. =)

Maliit lang talaga yung mga plug and plays, para isang variant lang talaga and easier to manufacture == hence cheaper. As per sa buga, oks naman, sa cutoff and range lang talaga nagtatalo. Mas maganda yung cutoff hue (yung blue cutoff) ng mga high-end projectors at mas malayo abot gawa ng mas oks ang intensity.

Plug and plays (not sure on this) use biplet or singlet projector lenses, while high-end projectors (like that of TSX and Ultimate) use triplet and even bi-triplet ones (makakapal yung lens), hence the improvements. Yun lang talaga, pag namulat ka na sa hassle ng retrofitting, plug and play na lang kung habol mo lang naman is mang-respeto ng other tsikoteers you encounter on the road - overall complete proper installation lang naman dapat ang basic requirement with regards to HID.

As per sa ballast, yung luma kong ballast kinabit ko sa fogs ko (naka-HID na rin), tapos bili ako ng bagong ballast para sa plug and play. Yung fogs naman ireretrofit ko! Haha nagsawa sa headlights sa foglights naman pumunta eh. Kung magdalawang isip akong gawing memorabilia yung projectors kong luma, dun ko ilalagay sa fogs. Walang play yung projector gawa ng masikip yung assembly e, so quite feasible din kung iwas hulog ang habol.
