HID sa foglamp - pointless or not?

hindi naman dahil "fog lights" ang pangalan e sa FOGS lang ang function nun. hindi nyo ba napapansin more on sa sides ang buga ng fog lights?

so kahit walang FOGS, mas maganda ang vision mo sa gabi dahil sa sides ang buga ng fog lights at meron din naman kahit konti sa front. atleast mas kita mo yung mga lubak. ako, kakabitan ko ng 3000k HID yung fog lights ng FD ko since palaging yun ang dala ko sa province at palaging gabi kami umuuwi doon.

yup 5800 ,nope hindi mataas yan and yes camera ko po. and kakaon pa lang kasi ng hid so iba pa kulay konti mag yeyellow pa yan. ganyan ang stock height or focus ng fd niya hindi namin ginalaw. yung paradahan kasi namin pababa kung mapapansin niyo. so pataas yung sasakyan and babagsak konti ang pwet

Hindi nga maganda fog lamps naka HID. I suggest HID sa headlight tapos Yellow Halogen nalang sa fogs.. maliwanag sa ulan ang yellow and HID naman ok sa dilim.. pa ayos mo nalang tutok para hindi maka silaw.

my ride is isuzu alterra 07 edition (circle fog lights, hindu ung rectangle)

Both my low and fog lights are using 8000 kelvin HID, (i regret it)

i have to admit that i don't like how my fogs are performing, 75% of cars beam me high because of it.

Any suggestions? some say i should replace my HID fog with something else that can perform better during rainy nights. some suggested philips X-trem (not sure)

Blue 8000k foglights just defeat their own purpose IMHO. The whole point of foglights is for a driver to see better under poor conditions - which is why most of them are yellow, in the 4000k color temperature range. Our human eyes are most sensitive to yellow light.

Ditch your foglights now and get proper yellow ones - that's my suggestion.

ang prob ko ngayon is, ang headlight na HID ko, left side, nag yeyelow na instead of white. gusto ko sana palitan but ballast cost 2,500, buti pa bumili nlng ng 1 set which costs 5k (may 2 ballast and 2 bulbs pa). gusto ko sana ilipat ang HID sa fog lamp ko into the headlight but unfortunately hindi sila pareho. pangit naman pag headlight ang papalitan ko into yellow then ang fog lights puti. gusto ko, puti ang headlight, yellow fog lights.

Fog lamps on HID are even more potential to glare much worst than reflector headlamps on HID. only a few of reflector type HID foglamps passes my eyes. one is the new Civic and the others are foglamps that are nodded steeply making it pointless...

there are simple Projector Foglamps * US $50.00-60.00 (2,500-3,000 pesos) more or less. I think they are simple to install. balak ko nga magpabili sa states eh... kaya lang u-unahin ko nalang muna yung budget for the retrofit sa headlights mismo...

let me say it this way,not good value for your money. One should always ask, money invested vs. result? Fogs lights are for fogs, for the money you spend get a correct retrofit sa hl instead sa fogs. HID bulbs are for hid projectors. Output ng fogs immediate foreground lang, wala masyado effect sa normal driving. Even projectors sa fogs hindi ganun ka dramatic increase sa output, mas better to save up and invest sa tamang retrofit. I have a couple of projectors for fogs application but I never suggest this to anyone na hindi pa naka retrofit kasi hindi ka matutuwa sa output, pang support lang eto.

bakit yung nakita kong H3 bulbs with 5000K, iba yung color output vs. H4 bulb with 5000K? same brand sila. ganun ba talaga pag sa fogs? medyo yellowish white yung sa H3, while halos pure white yung sa H4.
