I'm sure that heat from using 50W ballast on generic Mini H1 caused the aluminum deposition on the reflector bowl to delaminate.
Is the improper sealing the main reason for the haziness of the HL lens or was the HL resealed with silicone 1.5 yrs ago that possibly outgassed caused this?

June 26th, 2014 11:31 PM #2193shok: so many things caused this. the HID, sealing, etc
Have several clients asking for this and we finally developed this:

Get the DRL look of the top of the line Altis on you Vios!
OEM leds, with complete DRL module for auto ON when engine runs and auto DIM when you turn ON the park lights.
We also have another type of DRL mounted on the fog light bezel. Also comes complete with DRL modules and oem spec wiring harness.

July 2nd, 2014 05:18 PM #21972010 Subaru Forester FXT:
Another RETROFIT REDUX! Car came in with poor lighting output, burnt hl lens and spaghetti wiring. Even one reflector bowl was damaged by the previous retrofitter with a 3" crack on the sides (the projector was forced during alignment). What's worst is that the OEM ballasts were removed including the ignitors and replaced with cheap ballasts! We restored the lens, installed our OEM package including the OEM Matsushita ballasts and completely brought back the wiring to OEM specs. We also installed our 70mm fog projector retrofit as the previous shop installed bolt on bulbs on the stock fog housing.

Version2 of our custom DRL with OEM leds, dual intensity output for DRL/park light function. Now using 6 leds and some minor mounting adjustments. Applying "Kaizen" pushes us to excellence. Also our stage3 or OEM package that is fully OEM in form and function. Walang tali-tali. Everything is bracketed and mounted rigidly for long term reliability. The harness is custom made for this car and laid out same as the original harness.
