here is my headlight
newbie lang po.. sorry.. kaya i would just like to ask.. kasi yung camry (second gen) ko.. nakastock HID sha.. so pag ino- on ko yung Headlight ko.. yung HID yung LOW ko.. so sa picture yung naka GREEN circle lang ang umiilaw.. then pag HIGH naman yung nakacircle na RED (halogen) and GREEN (HID) yung umiilaw.. so question is.. pag bumili ba ko ng bagong HID.. kaylangan 2 pairs?? kasi gusto ko din ipa HID na yung HIGH beam ko.. or pwede na yung binebentang HI/LOW na HID?? correct me if im wrong.. pero ang plan ko kasi is HI/LOW ko sana is naka HID.. which means yung nakacircle ng RED at GREEN is magiging HID na.. panu kaya diskarte dyan mga sir? naguguluhan ako kung kaylangan ba 2 pair ang bilhin ko o yung isang pair lang na HI/LOW...
AT.. if ever ba yung lumang HID na nakainstall now sa projector HL ko.. pwede ko ba ikabit sa FOG lights ko yun?? para ndi naman masayang? hehe
TIA..

I believe that your low beam has H3 bulbs, while your hi-beam is an H4 or H7 type. Dalawang separate HID kung sakasakali ang bibilhin mo pre.

January 18th, 2011 06:42 PM #4a.) HIDs on your highbeam isn't really recommended as HIDs are not meant to be flashed(sudden on/off). Kaya naman but I think mas mabilis masisira
b.) Should you decide to proceed with what you want, FYI, your High Beam is a separate bulb by itself(as you pointed it out). So you only need to buy one set of HID. Your low beam will be left as is. And what you will be getting is a single beam HID which will be installed on your high beam. Not High Low HID(hi/lo HIDs are for cars with one pair of bulbs only). Gets?
c.) The bulb of your low beam and foglamp is different. So no, you can't transfer your HID low beam to the foglamp.

January 18th, 2011 06:46 PM #5His low beam bulbs are definitely not H3. Most probably it's D2S or other HID projector specific bulb. High beam is most probably 9005, H1 or other bulbs commonly used in high beams.
All he needs to buy is one set of HID to replace the Halogen high beam. Then all is set na. High and low beam are all HID na.
Hopefully, this guy does use his HID responsibly. Badtrip yun mga nagpapa HID sa highbeam din masyado nakakasilaw

January 19th, 2011 01:33 PM #9Actually, you don't need to adjust your headlights if all you are going to change are the high beams. Your car came stock with HID projectors naman and these are aimed properly so hindi ito nakakasilaw. Mkakasilaw ka lang if you use your Highbeams unnecessarily. So what you should do, aim your low beam properly first to factory specs then proceed with the installation of HID high beam.
