June 20th, 2011 10:47 PM #311[QUOTE=Ginnova;1772763]d2h ang stock bulb na kasama mostly ng bolt-ons. I'm using OEM D2S philips 85122+ and Morimoto 5five D2S bulbs on my G5 powered by 55 watts ballast.
D2H:
so sir kailangan ko pong bumili ng ganyang adaptor para makagamit ako ng d2s sa projectors ko? yan ba yung amp to d2s? meron ba nyan available locally sir? how much po yung philips at may kasama na din syang ballast? at malaki po ba ang difference sa generic? thanks po.

yung generic bulb kasi madali mag-color shift at humina output. yung OEM philips 85122+ will not color shift.output will be slightly brighter but when paired with a 55 watts ballast ibang usapan na yan. bought mine sa TRS.

you will shorthen the lifespan of your HID if you will touch the bulb, i think you CANNOT touch the glass part, i think the reason is our palm has little moisture (sweat) that can really detoriorate its lifespan even small amount of sweat 'as in parang tuyo na kamay ang dating' (if i'm not mistaken)

as long as you clean the bulbs with alcohol prep pads before you use it should be ok.

July 5th, 2011 10:59 AM #315+1 sir ginnova, kasi sa sa mga unang post dito di na-clarify yung issue na ito, kasi ito yung napanood ko sa DW-TV, they tests/experiment pag nagpalit sa old car na HL na HID bulb will help driving at night,,,
CONCLUSION: HID DID NOT HELP at most cases, nakakasilaw lagn yung HID sa kasalubong pero di naman masyado makita daan mas maliwanag pa ang nakikitang daan sa ibang halogen na cheap na na-test nila, most of the time FOCUS of light is important than the bulb lux power.
kaya + 1 uli sa steps ng project nyo, bolt-on projector lens muna then upgrade to D2S

July 5th, 2011 11:57 AM #316correction to my above post di pala yung moisture ng palm ang specific reason , oil content of our hand that contaminates the bulb will cook the glass; if not removed by alcohol eto link just found out: HIDBulbsRus Tech Specs see * the bottom page

Opened up my headlight today to take-out the G5 projector. After more than 6 months of using it with 55watts ballast and aftermarket bulbs ( morimoto from TRS ), the projector chrome is still in perfect condition, no burnt surface or chipping. I must say i'm pretty impressed how it handled the heat even with its very small size.
eto pala sample ng mga burnt or chipped mh1 projector chrome due to excessive heat as posted sa hid planet.

OEM philips comes only in D2S version. Yung 55W ballast ko sa china ko binili.try to search sa sulit kung may mga sellers dun. I have some extra ballast but I'll be using it on my next retro.
