Ah, the LED bar! Hehehe! If there were only a quick and easy way to install one -- not to mention a cost effective option -- nakaganito na sana yung van at suv ko.
Anyhow, that's wishful thinking. As I had shared with a friend who regularly travels on his Ford Ranger T6 to Metro Manila from Bulacan, and who wants better lighting, a LED bar might be a quick fix, but how usable will it be? If you're a responsible motorist, you wouldn't turn that ON in MM traffic. Perhaps to piss off a cab or PUV, but that would be it, otherwise you'd be branded an *$$hole. So, masusulit mo ba ang P20K investment mo? Not really. Unless you have a farm or regularly go out offroad, which is something my friend and I do not have and do not do.
So is LED totally useless? Not quite. Nori's idea of shorter LED fogs intrigues me. Usable Auxiliary lighting is what we're looking for. Perhaps shorter LED fogs might be strong enough to augment your current halogen HL and not be offensive enough as their LED bar brethren. Yun nga lang, for those folks selling the shorter LED fogs, di ako makakuha ng demo pix against a wall or something.

hella driving lights lang ikakabit ko, back up sa hid just in case biglang mapundi.
saka bawang, sabit sa side mirror.

^ If it's super white, I think it will be useless on fogs and heavy rain.

ayun din nga ang akala ko... i have a 41" Cree LED bar combination of flood and spot light, roof mounted--- i use it last fri. going to IBA zambales heavy rains along SLEX, SCTEX all the way to IBA zambales... ang laking bagay... kung headlight lang and fog light lang ang gamit ko... parang wala din akong ilaw.. pero pag yung led bar ang gamit ko night and day talaga ang difference... i can even speed up to 110kph.. on certain areas.. ( everytime may kasalubong ako... malayo palang off ko na agad... more or less 300x ko ata turn on and off)
on heavy downpour and on asphalt road... on heavily tinted windshield, i can see up to 200-300 meters away....
Kahit paminsan minsan lang ang pag out of town.. for safety reasons... I can say a must pa din pag naka LED BAR... basta lang ANG PRIMARY concern mo eh hindi ka maka silaw ng kapwa motorista mo... kasalubong man o kasabay...
