I actually see some use to LED bars, but only because I travel hundreds of kilometers of provincial highway with absolutely no roadside lighting, and usually with very few vehicles at night.

It's brighter than a retrofit - one time may nakasabay akong LR Discovery on the way to Manila. Naka-retrofit siya and it was already bright, but when he turned on his LED bar, the night became day.

The highway is filled with winding corners but with his LED bar, you could really see all the way to the next sweeping bend, which made it safer to see if there was an oncoming vehicle.

He was responsible enough to open his LED bar only when there were no oncoming vehicles.

May nakasalubong na din akong ganyan sa congressional ave, sarap pagbabarilin e.

May fb yung mga sellers nyan. I sent them a message/request for them to remind their customers not to use those in city roads and hiways and to tell their customers that those are offroad lights only. Ang reply? Di daw nila responsibility yun, nagbebenta lang daw sila. Ang galing!

Yeah, if you're driving all alone at night, in some portions of TPLEX or SCTEX those LED bars are a God send.

Ok rin, pero yung nasalubong ko minsan sakit sa mata at basta napailaw lang kahit wala sa lugar e mukhang kampante.
Please, sa tamang lugar lang at gamit.

Dapat yan ang pinapakielaman ng LTO. Would you agree that just like roof racks, dapat kung magkakabit nyan need din iregister sa LTO. Atleast nagbayad sila. Also madali ireklamo kasi may record.

So far wala pa naman ako nasasalubong, meron pa lang nasa likuran ko along EDSA. Angyabang pa tumutok talaga sakin at busina ng busina, nagmamadali yata. Ikaw na may LED bars. :rofl01:

Ang alam ko dati may rule ang lto na bawal ang fog lamps or any additional lamps/light mounted higher than the bumper. Kaya before all those hella lamps and the like were all mounted below the bumper. Exemption are offroad lamps/lights on offroad and ralye vehicles but they must never be turned on when on city roads. May permit pa yata before one can install those above the bumper, like on bull or nudge bars and roof racks. But as usual, as with any law that is never implemented, nobody now knows the law exist.

Balak ko maglagay ng hella offroad halogen lamps pag nakapaglagay na ko ng nudge bar. Promise sa farm lang magagamit yun, pag may kapre o laman lupa na umaaligid at wala akong baon na bawang.

LED bar, no way! 6000 kelvin light temp, useless din yan pag umuulan.

They never use them for rain or added visibility, they just want to glare the traffic so that people would move out of their way. To put it simply, I just let them pass since ANG SAKIT SA MATA AT IINIT LANG ULO KO pag pinilit ko pang mauna.

as per the rule, I know may regulation yan, but it is one of those regulations that are lost. Afaik, those foglamps must be covered as well if it you are using the equipped car in City.
