January 1st, 2012 05:32 AM #635Happy new year!
Guys, what's better, Philips X-treme Power or X-treme Vision?
I prefer the whitish-yellowish-pinkish color of the OEM HIDs of the Camry, CRV, Civic 2.0, etc.. Which bulb would give that color? I believe it's 4000+k color temp?
Thanks!

Finally got my Philips Xtreme Power 9006 (pang-HB4) sa C34x4 sa Sgt. Rivera. Tried Cartronics kahapon pero opened na yung meron sila. Can't be sure if it was a returned item or as what they claim na tinesting lang daw. Ganda pa naman nung counter girl. Hehe. Seems unopened pa naman so got one unit after haggling it down to P1,700.
Upon arriving sa basement parking ng building namin, chose a spot where I can have a clear line sa wall. Try ko muna palitan yung driver's side, and I noticed the height of the throw kaagad. From a distance of about 5m yata, yung stock Sylvannia is about half a foot ang taas, while yung sa kabila with the XP is about a foot (or more) naman. Driving with the stock bulbs, I noticed medyo parang mababa ang beam adjustment nya. Seems like the beam was just a few meters in front lang, kaya I couldn't even notice when I turn on my foglights. Pero di ko muna ginalaw alignment while waiting to get my XP. Mas longer throw daw ito so baka ma-over compensate naman. Try ko tomorrow i-adjust after observing it tonight. Anyway, the XP was also noticeably brighter though not sure lang is it because luma na yung Sylvannia, or because the former is 51W, while the XP is rated at 55W per side. Mas maputi lang din siya ng konti sa stock bulb, but not by much. All in all, even without the benefit of a good test drive, I can say it is a good buy.

Guys, I was enticed by your recommendations.
Kaya nagpalit na rin ako ng Philips XP just few days ago.
Yung left hand side lang muna pinakabit ko and tested it for 2 days
Its definitely better than the stock sylvannia na 51w HB4.
Its has almost the same light color as the stock...
Noticeable yung brighter and longer light throw
Kaya pala if its rainy night sa asphalted provincial roads...
halos di na makita yung daanan using the stock headlight.
Its 1,500pesos sa Banawe.
