12v to 24v led?

mura po kasi ngayon strip led lights and want to put some sa likod ng truck.. as tail light... katuwaan lang.. hehe pati sa sides siguro imbis na regular bulbs na ginagamit namin..

so they have to be exact equal..

hindi po pwede 1 battery lang na 12v.. actually medyo mali yung diagram ko... hehe sa output po kasi ng truck.. like tail lights mga ganun... 24v talaga and dun ko lang po itatap.. sa tail lights hindi sa battery directly.. thanks for your replies guys:D

the best way is to add a resistor in series to each bulb.. nalimutan ko na yung resistor value pero yun ang tama...

'yung isa, kasi nga the same voltage (12V) will still pass thru.
experience ko kasi dun sa Lolo 2002 XUV namin. 'yung ibang LED Lamps sa 3rd
Brake Lamps (spoiler ba tawag doon?) eh pundi na. dinala namin sa Isuzu Casa.
Sabi nung SA, di raw sila nagre- repair ng ganun. papalitan daw 'yung buong "spoiler".
about 20K petot daw 'yun. wala rin silang stock.
so, returning to house, binaklas ko spoiler, inalis ko two bulbs na pundi. went to raon.
marami sa raon, same look, pero iba- iba ratings (voltage and ampere raw). eh hindi ko rin alam.
SA asked "saan mo ba gagamitin sir? "sa isuzu van" sabi ko. ang bilis ni Tita. "PARALLEL connection lang 'yan,
12volts 'yan, 15petot isa sir, ilan ang kukunin niyo?" buy ako 20pcs = 300petot... so, tralala... so and so...
went home... kabit the other day by an appliance tech (P200 + 1 kaha Philip),
good as new... hahaha! imagine, muntik pa ako madale ng P20K sa Casa ah.

Alam nyo naman ang casa, konting gasgas, palit na buong kaha.. pundi isang ilaw palit buong assembly.. hehehe.
270 ohms ginamit ko sa 2 pcs LED strips connected parallel.. medyo malabo buga nya compared sa w/o resistor pero at least mas tatagal yung buhay ng LED proteksyon sa sudden voltage surges.

Same is true with electronic components, walang exactly pareho... Araw-araw na-e-encounter namin iyan dito sa opis....

In your case, it may take a while for an LED to burn-out, even if it has more than 12V across.... I suggest you experiment first....

^check the spec of the LED strip. pwede mo gamitin ang Power (Watt) or Current (Ampere) or Resistance (Ohm) rating. or use Ohmmeter.

meron kang 24V source. dapat ang Resistor ay equal or close to the value ng Resistance ng LED strip. example, if 300 ohms ang LED strip, you need a 300 ohms resistor to connect in series.

Voltage Divider lang yan kaya saktong 12V ang makukuha ng LED strip.

LED strips are cheap. You can try. You may connect them directly to the 24v.

LED Strips come in 12v or 24v application.
There are also what they call "cuttable". Example, cut them by 3 or cut them by 6.

Ask the shop selling them.

you can connect two similar led's in series. para maging equal ang voltage across the leds, install a resistor in parallel with each led.

to increase their life expectancy, a more complicated way is to parallel the 24v leds with a 1watt, 24v zener diode with a series resistor. the value of the resistor depends on the led current. ipagawa mo na lang sa experts.

i read somewhere that LEDs are overvoltage-sensitive. if they are given more than their rated voltage, they glow much brighter, but their lives are drastically shortened..
someone recommended somewhere in this forum, an off-the-shelf solid-state voltage regulator to maintain correct voltage..
