the connections are correct, and it will light the LEDs without any problem,..... by the way, the connection is not parallel, they are connected in series....HTH

one more thing, series connections of two 12v lights can only be done and connected to a 24 volts source as long as the 2 bulbs are identical, meaning, same voltage and wattage rating, or else, if they have different ratings, one will get easily busted after a few minutes of having them energized....

Although it will light up, it is not recommended.

Because you are not sure that the LED bulbs have exactly the same resistance values..

In which case, you are not certain of the voltage across each of them.... One may be at 10V, the other at 14V, as an illustration (and maybe exaggerated to highlight the point), because they have different resistance values.

So, the second LED is over-voltaged and therefore, overstressed. And consequently, it will reduce its operating life.

Just wondering, you have two 12v batteries and two 12v LED lamp, why not just connect the 12v LEDs to the 12v batteries, directly? Anyway, you can do that without any problem. And by the way, that is not parallel connection, it is series.

^probably because the current positive (+) electrical wiring are tapped to Battery 2. and you would need to lay-out new wires for connection to either Battery 1 or Battery 2 directly.

in any case, if you can connect the 12V LEDs directly to the 12V batteries, then that would be preferred.

hmmmn... i just can't help but ask...
will the other bulb still light if the other bulb is busted?
if ever, can it withstand twice its rated voltage?

If naka series, kapag busted na yung isa, hindi na iilaw yung another one kahit hindi siya busted.

nope both LED wont light up. yan disadvantage ng series connections.

yes.. series.. hehe mali naisip kong parrallel...

mura po kasi ngayon strip led lights and want to put some sa likod ng truck.. as tail light... katuwaan lang.. hehe pati sa sides siguro imbis na regular bulbs na ginagamit namin..

thanks for the replies.. naintindihan ko na.. hehe pag medyo iba ng konti ang resistance iba din ang distribution ng voltage.. hehe
so they have to be exact equal..

hindi po pwede 1 battery lang na 12v.. actually medyo mali yung diagram ko... hehe sa output po kasi ng truck.. like tail lights mga ganun... 24v talaga and dun ko lang po itatap.. sa tail lights hindi sa battery directly.. thanks for your replies guys:D
