unleaded lang minsan vortex gold or shell super premium.
Vortex Silver for regular city driving and Vortex Gold for provincial trips.
Dati shell unleaded pero simula ng maprivatize ang Petron, doon na ako... di ko alam kung bakit
On my car, I use Shell Velocity. I like its combination of good power, decent fuel economy and smooth idling.
Petron Blaze gives the best power, but idling is really rough, unnacceptable for daily driving. Fuel economy is so-so.
I used to use Caltex Vortex Gold, but power / performance was unnacceptable to me so I stopped. AFAIK most of the serious tuners (Autoplus, QC Tires and Autosport etc.) don't like Caltex.
On diesels I like Shell as well, though I don;t have any diesel car with me now.
On our other cars (Expd, F150, MB W140) when I use them I just use regular unleaded from Shell.
Apparently, US spec cars don't like our high octane fuels because of too many additives that f**k-up the o2 sensor. Even with US spec Porsches, BMW's and Ferraris, they just use regular unleaded.
On Euro spec cars however, OK pa naman mga high-octane fuels natin.
On our next track day, I'll be able to try avgas sposored by Flying V.![]()
petron diesel max for my TD27 (dinadayo ko pa since there's no Petron station nearby) and shell unleaded for my civic (thank God, Shell station is almost everywhere).
diesel max for my ride AUV
and vortex gold for my car. pag-ginagamitan ko ng petron blaze, mas nagiging mainit ang temp ng engine ng car ko.
Thank you FLYING V for taking care of my Mitsubishi Lancer 2010. Since I bought my car in 2011, FLYING V gasoline was my personal choice. Till now my car is in very good condition having travel such a longest time to Bicol to Cagayan for several times already using Flying V unleaded gasoline. Very economical and thanks to Valvoline additives.
just switched to Phoenix 98RON, nawala ang delay ng acceleration ko sa Mirage ko especially pag nag-oovertake ako. CVT user here by the way. hth!
hi sir *dr. d, numbers show identical to what i had with either Shell 95RON or Seaoil's 97RON. Right, might be psychological but I did not feel/experience that delayed response / lag with my Mirage CVT. I tried to replicate the issue i was having back then when i gassed up with Phoenix 98 (e.g mag-aaccelerate ng around 60-80 kph then let go of the gas pedal kaso dun ko madalas maramdaman yung lag na sinasabi ko) so far so good...first full tank palang so i can't tell yet, maybe placebo but i will take it, anytime! ;)
I use the recommended fuel by the manufacturer.
