IMO dont use heavy like footwear like rubber shoes when driving....

its better nga lang when braking....

try nyo lang mag drive barefoot and try nyo naman naka rubber shoes.... you'll see the difference....

Or get as close as you can to driving barefoot:

Never felt comfortable driving barefoot. Possibly because pedals are typically designed to be used by people wearing shoes, so it doesn't quite feel ergonomically correct to have your toes draped around the lever arms of the pedals. Socks, at the very least, for me. But I typically wear very thin, very flexible shoes while driving, for better pedal feel.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

I was following my truck from Butuan City to Davao City more than 300 km stretch using my grand starex crdi vgt last week with 40 to 60 kph on average and a few burst of 80 kph and I got 16 km/L consumption..under normal driving condition this vehicle would average between 8 to 9 km/L.

How fast do you usually go for the 8-9km/L? Were you close behind the truck?

^ Amen to that! I've got a relative who drives with 3 inch heels and sometimes more! A helluva driver she is too.

So far I've driven with leather shoes, rubber shoes and slippers. I prefer heavy rubber shoes, especially when driving manuals as they require lesser effort in depressing the clutch. The only footwear I can never drive with is the "sipit" type slippers.

As for gas saving, I say longer trips are definitely much more efficient, as are night time driving. With the Revo diesel, these two changes merited a difference in gas consumption from the typical ~7.5km/L to nearly 10km/L! And then I was definitely not making efforts to save gas, flogging it for all it's worth.

i have a big feet, so big shoes, and you know what they say about men with big shoes...sumasabit yung sapatos sa ilalim ng break, although split seconds lang yung delay sa break, i imagine it can be dangerous kung kailangan sudden stop.

also wearing socks only while driving, one time maluwag na yung socks na gamit ko at madaling mahubad nangyari eh nadulas yung paa ko pahubad ng medyas habang nakaapak sa break. my car jerked about a foot, buti na lang di ako tutok.
