seriously, hindi pa naman siguro mauubos. imho, madaming oil deposits sa palawan tsaka sa spratleys. but we do not have the technology or the resources that will help us drill it. That is why we entered into a joint exploration activity with the other spratley claimants. mga 10% siguro ng ma-eextract dun ang makukuha natin.

there are other options that are already available. Ethanol, Hydrogen, Battery, Solar, etc. But the problem is because they are still new technologies, ang mamahal ng mga otong developed dito. Take the case na lang ng Toyota Prius. Hindi maaafford ng ordinary worker yan (in fact maski mid-level manager, hindi kaya yan...). For ethanol-based fuel, ang mahal ng kotse or the conversion kit. In fact, maski nga LPG conversion kit eh hindi kaya ng ordinaryong empleyado lang.

The reason for the challenge is if Dingle has a hidden gasoline tank in his car, the long distance would empty it. Dinggel declined to take on the challenge citing "security" of his car from being stolen by groups with vested interests.

How hard would it to steal a car with "WATER POWERED" painted on all four sides? Not to mention it can be usually found parked in front of Dingle's residence at that time.

That and the fact that the exhaust from the tail-pipe smells like ordinary gasoline exhaust fumes makes Dingle's entire claim to be more snake oil than anything else.

Being featured in magandang gabi bayan doesn't really add to the credibility of the "device". I think even the infamous KHAOS SUPER TURBO CHARGER was also featured by the same show at one time and even "endorsed" by the VP himself.

not really... if people can afford to buy a set of alloy wheels for their ride, a LPG conversion is not beyond the purchasing power of ordinary people. The fact that auto-LPG conversion is one of the few mods that you can do to your car that pays for itself in a number of months.

Dingle's so-called invention doesn't hold water since the total amount of energy you get out of the system would be the same to start the process over. So where is the excess power to propel the car forward?

A simple energy equation would have proved Dingle's invention to be "wanting" in the laws of thermodynamics.

Nope. He claims his car runs on 100% water. I have seen the video about it aside from reading the printed articles about him and his "invention". Interesting fellow but I wouldn't put much value into his claims.

nagpunta sa mba class namin yan si dinggel. yes interested daw ang mga japanese, taiwanese and europeans sa invention nya. ang problema, he wants it patented dito sa philippines and wala naman daw support. kung hahayaan daw na foreigners ang mag commercialize nung invention, magiging mahal daw ang pasa sa consumers. so in the end, hindi maipapasa sa mga pinoy yung savings sana. yun yung sabi nya. plus may conspiracy theory din sya na prinoprotectahan ang mga petrol based industries.

Maybe if "inventors" would invent something credible? Some of the noteworthy stuff "invented" and marketed for cars in recent years include: Khaos Super Turbo Charger, HOB (fuel heater), Turbo Zet, Aero-gas, Turbo-Swirly, Vortex and others.

I don't know about the DOST engineers but the problem is not in making an internal combustion engine run on hydrogen. I can tell you right now that it is totally possible to make an ordinary engine run on hydrogen gas. The problem lies in Dingle's claim that he could generate enough hydrogen from the car's onboard electrical system to fuel the engine (without added fuel to keep it running).

BMW's hydrogen car simply has a storage tank of hydrogen and it will just fuel up from a hydrogen filling station.

Uhmmm... Like GH has said... Dingle's original claim is that his car ran on pure water. No engineer ever said that an engine could not run on hydrogen... but the claim that you can produce hydrogen cheaply off of a car battery... at least enough to charge the said battery and run a car engine is absolutely ridiculous. No physical process in the world can power itself. Entropy means that most such "perpetual motion machines" won't even start.

BMW's hydrogen car doesn't claim to do anything of the sort. Hydrogen is generated off-site by some other means.

Want to see for yourself? Get a small gasoline-powered electric generator. Pour water in the gas tank. Now use a battery to perform hydrolysis in tank and use the hydrogen generated to power the generator to recharge the battery. If you can even get the generator to turn over, call me. We'll sell it and become millionaires.

Actually, the problem with some Filipinos is that they readily exploit a situation (energy crisis) and use it to prey on the gullible (some marvelous backyard pseudo-science that will supposedly change the automotive industry).
